LBA works fine.

and I can't get LBA to work without having to resort to a bootdisk etc.

Having said that however it's taken me 2.5 months to get my old DOS games that won't work in WinMe DOS boxes running and whilst it has proved frustrating it feels good when it all starts coming together.
