What's everyone planning on being (or want to be) when you're older?

I'd love to be a software engeneer, but I've gotta bring up my marks in math..

Me, I'd like to do something with computers too, especially the webdesign/web-development part...
The bad thing is I'm not too good with maths and science (natuurkunde in Dutch ;)) so I'll just have to see if I'm going to make it :(

Smazy

Aren't you good in Science?

Same here. It's not so much science, but I find math hard. We'll just have to spend more time studying.. (yey)

well it's odd cause I like computers and all and i'm good at it but I can't imagine a career in it. So i'm not studying computing at college...just Physics, Chemistry, Maths and uhhh god...Electronics but I wanna be in chemical research.

You don't have to imagine a career in it. as long as it pays well :)

Money makes stuff a lot easier ...

froggee

Too late for me?? hehehe It's only 8:00 pm here, (20:00?)
It's too late for you! :p

Money makes things easier, but if you hate the job your doing to get the money, it's a waste of time, and life. :)

Math was very easy the last 3 years, you need a good teacher.

For sure.. That's half the problem. My teacher dosn't explain things properly and stands in front of the overhead while we are supposed to copy notes down.. Grr.

Yup, those are the worst... Those who just write the whole blackboard full so you can write it over...

"Sir, they invited something, they call it a b-o-o-k!" :o

Good math teachers are very seldom.
Last year I had a veryyyyy good one!
He replaced another teacher and our grades 2 points up!
(we use a different system, 0 is lowest 10 is equal to A+)

I really miss that guy....

I really have deep respect for good teachers...
I've had two real good ones in 3 years, I'll never forget them.
They even make school fun! :)

That's very true.
That goes with History teachers too. They always make it so boring. We had a great one this year, but everyone sceduels got changed, and we got stuck with a male ditz for a teacher. The class marks have dropped since then. :(

This is all so very true! WebSeed once told me never to listen to the teachers but just to read a book once in a while....I agree.

Example of crap maths teacher talk:

Teacher: "Ok now we take the square root of Y, divide it by the X. Uhhh now we add S cubed"

Student: "Why do we add S Cubed?"

Teacher: "Cause it says so!"

I only never had a good maths teacher so I just read books and I got an A in maths :D So READ BOOKS it works!!
