The easiest way is to make 2 files, one with background music and one without backgrounds music. Then make 2 links on the startpage so you can choose whether you want music on or off.

But that will still load the midi file and player. And that's where I've got the problem.

Well I just think that M$ is doing a lot of stupid stuff. They keep working on their GUI, but don't work that much on their internal code. I was happy with the Win95 gui.
