WebSeed and maybe some other English people, there is a 3D event in the Starship dome in London at 3 december. http://aw.aliaswavefront.com/3december/cities/london/london.html
The idea of this event came from the Dutch company Microhill in 1999. http://www.microhill.com
The first 3 december event was organized by Microhill in Amsterdam. http://aw.aliaswavefront.com/3december/3dbackground.html
It was a very very huge succes so this year there are 3 december events all over the world! Its all about Alias Wavefront's Maya as far as I know. I was one of the lucky people who visited the event in Amsterdam 1999 and I was realy exited about it.

I dont say this becouse the guys from Alias Wavefront in Belgium want me to promote this event. Its just realy cool and Maya is a good program for caracter modelling for the DM.

Well I have just registered and will most definately be there (at the Dome)! WebSeed I don't know where you attend Uni, but it would be a pretty neat idea if 3Dveloper, you, me and anyone else close enough to visit the London event could meet up there. It would be an excellent opportunity!
