Twinsen's Odyssey on Window Vista

Hey does anybody know or is willing to try if Twinsen's Odyssey (LBA 2) works on Window Vista. Please post anything you know or have tried. Thx

It should work with the Fixed LBA2\TO executable but you may need to do the installation from Windows XP. Uwlcm

It works for some but doesn't for others, there's no known way to tell if you will be a lucky one and have it working fine. For most people it have worked well.

It works well for me (even on 64bit), but I had to install all of the possible patches (sound patch is important)

well all this info is vain because my disk is all scratched up and i cant do anything about it. I dont know what to do because the scratched cd is in the way of my goal. oh well thx anyways guys

Renesans: How did you install the game on Vista 64? The installer is 16-bit, and Vista 64 doesn't support that.

install it,
then download LBA2 fixes,
the copy and paste those in program files\little big adventure 2
to fix the graphics:
install funnyfrog's patch
then copy and paste it into the same place
and run it
then all should work well

Hi guys

I am not the most computer-savvy.. I used to play LBA2 and LOVED it. Recently purchased a copy from Ebay and they guy assured me it would work on Vista.
The game installs properly, when I run it the sound works fine. Only problem is the display is rubbish like limes accross the screen so you cant really play it.
Ive tried changing the compatibility mode, Ive changed the screen resolutions and even had a go at playing it through dos box (which I couldnt really even begin to work out!)
..Any ideas how I can fix my problem?!

Do you know where you installed the game on your comp ? And if you have hte american or european version of the game ?

C:/programfiles/activision/splash I think? I have the American version *I know that much

then copy the filed called "TWINSEN.exe" in the folder where you installed the game. It should overwright a file with the same name.

Now its worse not only is everything in supermassive size but display still liney Its also quite purple? Not sure if thats normal. I even uninstalled and re installed it ... but its not working

You don't you get a copy on GOG.com or DotEmu.com, you will surely get those versions running in recent machines.

a friend of mine came over and got it to work! yay!

However, I have played up until Island CX - I have the sword now but the lift wont work

Any ideas?
