Every single Funfrock that Twinsen defeated was just a clone, and if I were to guess from Didier's comments about LBA3 (he hinted at Funfrock returning yet again), the one he defeated in Zeelich was a clone too

I think its obvious he only tasks his clones to confront Twinsen. After visiting Celebration for the first time he notices you and starts major progranda against you, just because he is afraid you interfere with his plans. He's afraid of Twinsen, and I believe the wannie priest tells you this, or another character I don't remember.

Funfrock doesn't want to take the rist of actually being defeated by you, so he puts a clone in place to always be able to survive. It makes me wonder, where is the actual him anyway? Does he even look like the FunFrock we know, or has he heavily modified his clones to look impressive and intimidating? Maybe he is just a tiny slim nerdy quetch with huge glasses with boils all over him?

Or maybe they all live in the matrix and he doesn't even exist.*

You sure about that ? I'd say that Esmers came to Twinsun in the first place to take away the wizards, according to Funfrock's plan. Heck, why would they shoot at you and have your picture then ?

You're right that I can't tell for sure.
But I'm sure that the Esmers did know about Twinsun before they met FunFrock. I can't make up any other explanation of how he got on their planet in the first place, if it were not by one of their spaceships already hidden on Twinsun or something. This doesn't need to be the truth, but at least I'm convinced of it. FunFrock could not have simply teleported as he needs a telepod for destination. He also doesn't have a spaceship of his own, as far as the story goes.

As soon as the Esmers landed on Citadel Island, they tell you that they've studied the planet "for some time now", and wanted to study the culture from up close. I can only assume they met FunFrock somewhere in between. FunFrock claimed he was Dark Monk their god, and that they need to kidnap the wizards and consequently the children, and that this Twinsen guy is their enemy. It's obvious FunFrock didn't tell the truth, but it sure doesn't mean it was all completely his own plan. He did order to kidnap, but I think the Esmers were definitly studying Twinsun before he came.


The twinsunian shop on Otringal sure is dedicated to Twinsun. Was this place raised only after FunFrock came to Zeelich?
FunFrock had only time to build up his fortification on Zeelich during the time between LBA1 and LBA2, and because this is as short as a Twinsunian pregnancy, it probably didn't take years. So the whole statue of Dark Monk was there before him. All of the story about Dark Monk, the ceremony and the statue, were in place before FunFrock came in the picture. So all he had to do to power his plan of domination, was to convince the esmers he was their god and make the statue into an antenna. They would help him build the reactor(base) on Twinsun's moon, and kidnap the wizards he needed to power the antenna.

Consequently, if FunFrock only needed to convince them he was Dark Monk, the esmers must have had studied Twinsun before his arrival, as they would be lying about all of that otherwise. Their base on Desert Island does have a convenient link to the hacienda where they invite the wizards, but this doesn't prove they had build it for the sole purpose of kidnapping the wizards. FunFrock could have spent more in finding the school of magic instead. That it is told that the Esmers volunteered to clear up the rubble downstairs of Temple of Bú, also doesn't mean they actually settled there afterwards. The rubble could have been the actual result of them setting up a base in the first place, and their volunteering just a cover up.

i just relised... baldeno never checked his fuel before leaving and im positive he coulda gotten to twinsun before zeelitch so... WHAT THE F**K BALDINO? ... also my forum has a wannie glove whats that mean?

I'm not sure if he could get to twinsun first, I remember zeelitch being behind the moon (I went on vacations with my family last year) so if baldino's spaceship was near the reactor, then he couldn't get to twinsun first...

If Baldino got promoted to major character from LBA1 to LBA2 then I want Bob Vortix in LBA3. He's one of those characters that have a name and profession but don't actually get to do much during the game, I could see him coming back as a supporting character :P

Yes, I only played LBA1 1 time, it didn't ring a bell at first and my wording was bad.

It's difficult to assign every character a lead role in the story, not only the astronomer in LBA1. I could make a list. But definitly this should be considered in 3.

Yep, that's what I'm suggesting. After all, Baldino was just as minor as Bob Vortix in the first game, yet he became a great friend and ally for Twinsen in LBA2. It's nice that they came up with a name and some background for minor characters, LBA2 is very technologic and so Baldino fits well, being a brilliant inventor. Bob Vortix is an astronomer and one of the few people who knew about the legend and the great prophecy, so I think he'd fit very well in LBA3, which I assume will be very focused on the mythos behind Sendell and the Stellar Entity
