Twinsen Several versions of LBA2 ?

Hi,

I could be wrong, but I noticed something about LBA2. Is there several versions of the game ?
I remember, when I first played the game, (I was 5) there were a few différences.

First of all : I never saw the 'twinsen's odissey' logo. And there was nos 'activision' logo at the begining.

Next to "Chez Luc" There was a quetch walking (even if the weather was rainy). He was talking about the storm. When I played it again, he was in the pub, drinking.

When citadel was under attack (right after you first come back from Zeelich) I saw a lot of blue shells, not far from the lighthouse. At first, I thought it was the blue elf from LBA1 and tried to heal it, like I did for Joe, but it was not. I never saw these thing in the first version.
(I'm not sure about this one. Maybe I just did not pay enough attention...)

When I got the sup's fragment, I was not able to break the window, and I had to go back.

At the end of the game, right after you followed Funfrock, I did not see the wizzards, and I could go throught the bars even if they did not break it like they use to do...

Am I wrong ?

There are a bunch of different retail versions, but all have the exact same game. The only differences are in the start-up logos, and available languages.

I confirm the blue shells, saw them in BODY.HQR. They're leftovers of the LBA 1 giant crabs - specifically, the pincers (IIRC, there's a model of the top of the crab as well, but never used in the actual game). You'll also note that the small crabs in LBA 2 are also just a shrinked version of the giant crab model.

As for the wizards bug, it's actually caused by FunnyFrog's patch, which is required to run LBA 2 on modern ATi/AMD or NVidia graphics cards. This is why I suggest playing it through either DOSBox or a VMWare/Virtual PC virtual machine with Windows 95 or 98 [SE]. Or, through DxWnd, which I'd say is the least resource consuming option.

Bugs, I had them both. The first one almost always happened to me and the second, you have to wait and make a kind of "precise" shot.

I didn't know about all those. Thank you. ^^
I thought there was something wrong but I was not sure about what.

I feel stupid about that one, I just had to be in discreet mode cause it only works from the very middle of the window
