A thought about Sendell

Yes, maybe. But it could also have been just motivation for Twinsen.
It is likely Sendell needed to visualize the problem in known matters to him, and something abstract and yet unknown to Twinsen as this stellar entity, how do you express that in a dream? Ahwell, just explode the planet?

He didn't know anything about the entity yet, all that matters for him would be the destiny of his planet, so letting it explode is very a realistic concern. Something vage like some spirit-like figure that needs to stay alive, doesn't really catch on - if you don't know what its purpose is.

Indeed it does. A cutscene where Sendell's Well collapses and the planet blows up just like in Twinsen's dream occours if you lose your last life against funfrock after the seal is broken, OR if you let Funfrock into the well (you can do that, remember? He tries to trick Twinsen into breaking the seal promising that "he'll take good care of Twinsun and spare Twinsen and Zoe's life", you have the option of opening the seal instead of fighting him and he even mocks Twinsen after he falls for it :P)
So the risk of the planet exploding is real, and it appears to happen when someone tries to take the Entity out. My point still stands...
