MBN Mega-meet 2010

It's a nice round number for a meet so let's make a memorable one. I'm making this right now in the vague hope that a bit of pre-planning might get some good results.

So everything is open to discussion at the moment, and only two things need to be decided on; time and place. Post here if you're interested in attending and we can try and accommodate for the majority of people.

I'll suggest Amsterdam as a meeting place, it seems pretty central for a lot of members, and afaik is within a reasonable price range to reach if you live anywhere in Europe or the UK. Either easter time or summer for the time of year, preferably something with good weather!

So let's get the ball rolling.

Personally I wouldn't mind a meeting. I have one more year of doing nothing before going to uni, so I'm free at any time.

Anyway like I said on #lba already, I won't make any meeting before the summer, can't say exact days but there's a big chance I'll either have a small window before August, or only mid-September.
As for the location I don't mind attending a meeting as long as it's part of a trip I want to take in Europe, so I'm flexible with the countries but I have some mysterious preference to Amsterdam.

I want to visit Amsterdam regardless of the meet as well, I hear only good things about it, so it's gotta be good for tourists.

That would be possible, but considering I'm more of a nerd (and autist) than a social person, I don't think I would really enjoy a meeting. For example, I hate alcohol and I'm allergic to cigarette smoke; then I'm not too excited about going to a restaurant just to sit there and talk.

I don't smoke and I don't drink as well (actually I try a Guinness in UK ), but if we actually try something different instead of being every time in the same place its really enjoyable. It will always help you to be a more social person.

You are aware that currently it is not allowed to smoke in restaurants and that you can drink non-alcoholic beverages in restaurants.

2) Of course. I didn't really get what they were doing in London though but I remember some fuzz about being 18 or not.

Kind of the same lines of thinking for me. On the other hand I think the experience is worth experiencing. I think what we're going to do will be the tie-breaker on my behalf. If it's for example just going around to parties and drinking and smoking then I probably won't go.

It will probably not be that, the London meeting was not like that at all.

I'll come if the timing is right, I might be in China by then, but who knows. Early planning is important, we can get cheaper plane/train tickets and plan the holidays.

Probably a typo, but just so everyone knows: it's not allowed, so fear not for any cigarette smoke.
