On topic, if you think forums that censor words are bad... I've seen more than a couple of forums that ban anyone who mentions a "competing" forum (like if someone would mention "MBN" on another LBA forum they would get banned from that forum).

This whole discussion makes me tempted to invent some swear words, log on to some prude forum about Jesus Christ or Tabaluga or whatever's the most childish fable these days and swear all I want. I wonder how would the mods there react to someone swearing his ass off with his own invented swear words.

I think that would most likely get me banned in there. Which would mean they're not about the words themselves, but banning emotions as Anakkin said. Or most likely about propagating self delusion, and covering the reality we live in with a pink frosting... poor fuckers.

I do agree about scientology.... but how is being against the subsequent extermination of a species a fable? You make no sense...

If you watched Whale Wars, you'd see what I mean.

Well your previous post made me do some research and I found about the Sea Shepherd ship and while watching their videos all I could think of was "finally someone's ramming and sinking those motherfuckers".

Then found about Whale Wars and I'm definitely going to check it out. I've been saying it for years someone has to go there and sink those whalers... and never knew someone's actually trying to do just that...

It might be just some naive tree huggery, but if they disturb the whalers to the point that whaling becomes not economically viable, I'd say they're doing a good job. And apparently the Japanese whaling fleet is in debt with the Japanese government because of their actions...

I don't have a problem with the concept of anti-whaling, but actually watching Whale Wars is pretty sad. Not only are they ridiculously unsafe and lack any training or discipline, they're activists have an almost fanatical stance towards whales and anyone who questions their practices/motives/etc.

The best place to see this is on the Sea Shepherd forums - they actually do IP checks to see if you're registered on a "blacklist" of forums that either make fun of, denigrate, or insult their cause.

I frequent (though I am not a member) of Discovery Channel's "Whale Wars" forums (separate entity from Sea Shepherd's official forums) and it is almost comical how people defend the decisions of Sea Shepherd even though they are oftentimes ridiculously unsafe.

It certainly makes for entertaining television, and I support their cause, but their approach is downright loony.

Just to clarify - they're is the short form for they are, whereas their is the pronoun. But surprisingly, the most people having problems with this, are native English speakers. Says a lot, I think.

If you actually read what I wrote, my error wasn't in they're, it was forgetting to add "who" after it.

They're activists who have an almost fanatical stance...

If we use your "correction," it would say something entirely different in a possessive form.

"Their activists have an almost fanatical stance..."

How can activists have activists themselves?

Sorry Obras.

English language = 1
Obrasilo = 0

In all seriousness though Obras, you've got to lose that 'in your face!' attitude.

Sure... after you did the exact same thing in the other thread...

Besides, I don't see any anymosity, just the usual bickering between ourselves and others. You on the other hand seem a bit stressed out CF, something on your mind?

I agree, i mean here we are enjoying our bickering which is nothing less than a tradition by now, and CF feels compelled to spoil it for us..

You should stop being so annoying, CF.

Ok, rephrase: Lethal Kin Double and Obras (when together) is like an ever-growing snowball that rolls around the MBN and hits every thread on its way. I didn't even reference to Lethal's last post

Nothing is bothering me, no... just got dragged into the snowball for a bit. All better now!

I guess not, the problem here is that Lethal Womanizer and Obrattler operate on their own, not when together.
A snowball is a little too soft to explain the whole situation.
More like a group of hooligans visiting each thread and spamming with difficult English words and grammar and pointless talkings.
