Ok, here's a clean new thread.
I think the final program we should use is Jamagic.
I'll try contacting my 3D gfx artist, and I hope Darkflame and all
the gfx guys here can help.
The music is currently at SmoG Temple and Jesse's hands.
Current programmers: lgr and FireBall2K.
HS: Have you decided what you wanna do?
Someone from the fanfics field should start working on a story.
And maybe Axx should contact Fred for his oppinion and some tips.

Yeah, I did. Here's what I posted in the other thread:

Making any final discisions is a bit foolish at this stage.
Try making a small demo in Jamagic, try DarkBasic, try 3Drad.
Whatever is the most suitable, then use.
This is a huge project, make sure the tool your usingis right before embarking on it.

Well. This is a good point, too. So, do we listen to DF I suggest, yes, but I'm not a (main) coder, so...

I have used MMF, Jamagic, DarkBasic (full), 3D Game Maker, 3DRAD, Genesis, Visual Basic, C++...

And I would have to say Jamagic is the best bet, it certainly has the most extensive help and forum coverage via the clickteam website anyway if we need help.

I am currently writing a temp. webpage for it and it should be up later 2night, I'll let you know when it is

I think that is the best solution indeed, when I leader can't reply/is away, we always have the other leader.

Ah...I'll download Jamagic tommorow. I'm posting from my (finally)
repaired computer, and I have some things to re-install (Max Payne,
Counter Strike, and Multimedia Fusion Express ).
Maybe in the website we'll make we can have out own forum there?
I'll contact my gfx artist in a few minutes...

Yeah, www.xsorbit.com has good forums (I have it myself, too, check it out here). Sometimes it doesn't load very fast, btw.
It has a bit adverts in it, and sometimes it's down due to upgrading, but it's free and you don't have to install scripts on your website.

Yes, but have you actualy tried making a LBA style game in all of them?
I havn't tried this in any, so I can't judge.
I know technicaly speaking DB,C++ can definatly do it.
But I'm not sure about the rest.
3DGM diffinatly can't.

btw, Whats Genesis? (appart from the first book in the bible, that is)
also, whats the diffferance between the Demo, and full version of DB? I thought it was just a 500 use limit.

I think this forum is fine, too. But I thought FB2K meant we needed our own forum.

Those domain-names are very cool, but uhm, maybe first get some things done and then paying. When you INSIST on registering now, I would go for lba3.com, because the other one is too long IMO.
