Inventory Items

In this thread we keep a listing of all the remaining inventory items that can be found in the game, that have yet to be merged with the Twinsuniverse. There are those that can be freely found, given as a reward, and some bought. There's a lot we can tell about an item, like how you can find it, in which slot it goes, what the item is required or used for, whether or not it is critical to the storyline, a weapon or payment, etc.

Every item is in it's own post, so it is easy to find all related info about them. They aren't posted in any particular order, but a hyperlink to each one is sorted in the table of contents below.

The TOC might be missing some items, so if you know of any one that doesn't have an entry in the TOC yet, please PM me.

Table Of Contents by position
This TOC lists all remaining items by row position, sorted by column position. (hyperlinked means the post has yet to be merged with the Twinsuniverse, green faced means it has been merged already, red means no image present)

Notes
Some items might be strongly related like the Ancestral Tunic with the Wizard's Parade Tunic, or the Fragments and the full Key, but they proved to be aqcuired under quite different circumstances, so I decided to split these items into separate entries.

Uses magic: :tup:yes (one point per use)
Purpose: Primary Weapon, Remote control
Special feature: Key Magnet
Price: :wink2:free

http://forum.magicball.net/images/icons/icon3.gifDescription:
The magic ball is a magical object that can be thrown away, and it will automatically return. When it hits it's target it will either activate or damage it, depending on the target. It is used primarily to attack enemies. Enemies take damage from a hit by the ball, depending on it's power level. The ball is also occasionally used to trigger levers or switches that are otherwise out of reach. It will also automatically target any keys lying around when launched and picks them up remotely.

The Magic Ball will automatically upgrade when Twinsen's magic level increases. The ball's colour is also used to refer to the magic level. When Twinsen picks up the Ancestral Tunic (http://forum.magicball.net/showpost.php?p=418372&postcount=3) the ball will be able to bounce towards it's targets.

http://forum.magicball.net/images/icons/icon2.gifHow to get:
There is a barrel right near the door, the Magic Ball lies on top. Use "ACTION" to take it.

The Wizard's Diploma upgrades it into Green Ball, Sendell's Ball upgrades it into Red Ball, and Dark Monk's Key finally into Fire Ball.

http://forum.magicball.net/images/icons/icon5.gifHow to use:
Select the ball from the inventory or use the "1" key shortcut, and use "FIRE" to launch it in the faced direction.
The trajectory of the ball changes with every behavior. For instance, Discreet will throw the ball in a high arc upwards so it can pass over obstacles.

The display showing the Tunic is controlled by a switch in the personel-only room. The door to it is locked though. The room can be reached from the open window from outside.

Special feature: none
Price: :wink2:free

http://forum.magicball.net/images/icons/icon3.gifDescription:
The Pisto-Lazer of Zarnon shoots off lasers of similar power level as Magic Level Red, but doesn't use magic. It's laserbeams travel in a straight line, so to reach distances the Magic Ball (http://forum.magicball.net/showpost.php?p=418371&postcount=2) cannot reach.
It requires a crystal to work, but the order in which the crystal or empty pistol is aqcuired is not important.

http://forum.magicball.net/images/icons/icon2.gifHow to get:
The Pisto-Laser will be automatically created from it's two components as soon as the second one is aqcuired.
The lesser stage (the empty Pisto-Laser) can be received from the Dissidents in the basement of the Twinsunian Souvenir Shop.

http://forum.magicball.net/images/icons/icon5.gifHow to use:
The empty Pisto-Laser or piece of crystal can neither be used separately, but combined they will form the Pisto-Laser in working condition.

The beam will travel horizontally without being affected by gravity, until it hits a target.

The crystal of celebration can be found on Celebration Island (http://forum.magicball.net/showpost.php?p=418344&postcount=16). But it is far too big and heavy to carry, so http://forum.magicball.net/images/icons/takam/twinsen.gifTwinsen (http://forum.magicball.net/showpost.php?p=418023&postcount=2) will need some kind of tool to break off a piece.

If the crystal is found before the Pisto-Laser, it will remain unusable in the inventory until it combines. It won't be visible in the inventory if it is found last, as it automatically combines.

Twinsen can buy a Pick-ax at the Bazaar in Franco Village (http://forum.magicball.net/showpost.php?p=418413&postcount=24), that he can use to break off a piece of the crystal.

The Ring will automatically upgrade when the Magic Level changes, just like the Magic Ball (http://forum.magicball.net/showpost.php?p=418371&postcount=2).

http://forum.magicball.net/images/icons/icon5.gifHow to use:
Select the ring from the inventory or use the "F" key shortcut to cast the lightning spell.

I'd like to think the "F" shortcut letter comes from the word "Fireworks".
It is possible to get the ring when still in Magic Level Yellow, using the Jump/Save-Bug. Use it to jump over the spikes in the Pearl Cave even before getting to Zeelich, so to finish the lightning potion before being asked to and even before finishing graduating at the School of Magic.
Alternatively, it is also possible to use the Jump/Save-Bug at the Baggage Claim, to get the protopack early and use that to get over the spikes.

When the Super Jet-pack is received, both versions remain available through the behavior menu, but only the Super Jet-pack retains the "J" key shortcut and inventory slot.
Select the Protopack or Super Jet-pack from the inventory or use the "J" key shortcut, and Twinsen will put it on. Use "FORWARD" to set off floating/flying.
While moving in the air, the Protopack and Super Jet-pack can only move Twinsen forwards or steer to the left/right, until FORWARD is released.

Besides being used to combine with the other fragments, this fragment has no primary use.

When standing with the back against the weird green tree and facing the bazaar, using the Sportive behavior mode, run five steps forward. The small patch of grass right there near the gas, is where the fragment is burried.

The ornament on the wall behind the chest can actually open, to reveal an opening. It opens when hit by a weapon. This can be used as an open window to lead directly to the entrance of the Palace, rather than through all the rooms again.
