2Dark promotion - Time Limit : They made it with 3 days left!

So, perhaps with a little help from us, 2Dark got funded. So we are getting a horror game from the original AitD/LBA team. Yay!

But ideally we don't just want this game funded, but for them to break their target. 30,000 is not much for a games budget, and the better they can make this game the more impact their new company will make in the industry.
Todo that it needs more coverage.

Currently they are only "just" at 103%
http://www.ulule.com/2dark/

We have a time limit on this folks, so I ask you ASAP to email or use a submission form to tell the following games sites (maybe more) about the game.
This is pretty easy, most sites just have a "submit news" link somewhere (I liked directly if I could see it).
If a few people give them the same news, they will likely cover it.

Seems like they've got a very determined fan! :D
Edit: Hey, it's back to 37%... :hmpf:

Darkflame 2014-10-27 16:49

crap. Must have been a fake payment :(
Grrr.

One of the best russian game website Gmbox have article about 2dark, but it is unlikely help to gloomywood. In Russia same indie games begin gaining popularity only after videos on youtube from top lets-players and other popular funny video-bloggers. Only after that people start to buy game. http://gmbox.ru/news/sozdatel-alone-...r-pro-manyakov

Darkflame 2014-11-01 12:04

Yes, the biggest lets players can have an impact - but thats post release and doesn't help a crowdfunded thing.
I added Gmbox to the list for completeness.
igromania.ru and AG.ru ? (I know little of Russian sites)

Most popular in Russia Gmbox and Zoneofgames. And maybe Old-games (best forum about retro games, but admins very picky and angry).

Igromania - website of video-games magazine. They will not publish news from ordinary users. They have a forum, but there are very strict rules and maintenance of topics. And think, I can't create a thread in the forum due with the zero-rating.

AG - no longer popular web-site. Site have a profile for 2dark and trailer, but nothing about ulule. Similarly they have a forum, with special Kickstarter topic. But on the forum are almost no people.

I try create topics on forums in Zoneofgames, AG and Old-games.

Darkflame 2014-11-01 15:01

Thanks a bunch, I'll update to note your contributions.

http://bloody-disgusting.com - largest site in the world about horror movies and games, it would be great if somebody was able to contact with their admins. (sometimes it requires to enter the code from the image to enter the site)

Darkflame 2014-11-02 15:07

That seems like a perfect site for the game.
Cant really claim its not bloody disgusting when one of the concept arts shows that children have been cut up....

Heres how to contact them;
http://bloody-disgusting.com/contact-us/

I'll do it myself in a few days, but I appreciate more people chipping in - so it doesnt seem like I am spamming every one of these sites myself.

I would recommend indiegames.com. I believe it would be a perfect fit for this game to appear there, it could garner quite a bit of attention.

Darkflame 2014-11-03 14:08

Good work! Added.

Maybe we should also be targeting youtubers? (eg, letsplays?)

for example.

Theres a lot of them out there, and they are all (I assume) already fans of the game, so they might be more willing to help the developers out with a mention/link/sponsership/beg.

Perhaps look for any LBA videos with over a certain number of subscribers or views?

Darkflame 2014-11-04 14:02

http://dopresskit.com

Or, more specifically;
http://www.promoterapp.com

Do you think we should look into this?

signed up, it gives a 14 day trail. Neatly, just entering 2Dark started it searching for published news/reviews on it.
I'll see what else it can do.

What to people think about youtube targets?

Darkflame 2014-11-06 01:40

Ok, additionally I added a bunch more sites on the list; The ones with "big target' have over 1,000,000 twitter followers. (some of them much more). Naturally this indicates a heck of a lot of readers.
