GoodOldGames releases Little Big Adventure for $6

Little Big Adventure is now available on the GoodOldGames website:
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/little_big_adventure/
For a mere 6 US Dollars it will be yours. The other Adeline games (LBA2 and Time Commando) will also be available on GOG in the near future.

GoodOldGames is a digital distributor that specializes in selling classic computer games. All the games they release have been made to work on Microsoft Windows XP and Vista and do not contain any DRM.

So it looks like our effort to get LBA on GOG has paid off. Now everybody will be able to enjoy Little Big Adventure.

elmuerte 2009-03-31 18:31

I don't know about you, but I'm going to buy a copy just to give off a signal.

Kobold 2009-03-31 19:11

Awesome, finally. Downloading it right now...

Lightwing 2009-03-31 19:12

OMFG! It actually works on Vista! I've already bought 2 copies on two of my computers.

Darkflame 2009-03-31 19:24

I'm going to do some cross-premotion with BG&E for sale on GOG;
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/beyond_good_and_evil
I think the synergy between the two will massively help sales!

Incidentaly, for those folks like me I'd just like to confirm the game does work on windows2k still, despite them not listing it.

wacko 2009-03-31 19:37

Awesome! Feels a bit redundant to pay $6 since I already own the game, but I've just bought and downloaded it anyway. Will use it next time I want to play it. Great stuff :)

Rex_Hollywood 2009-03-31 19:59

Nice.

Jasiek 2009-03-31 21:29

Great Scott! I wonder how they solved the rights problem...

Darkflame 2009-03-31 21:36

Well, GoG probably just did a deal with EA, as its the same game republished, I'm not sure the more complex rights issues of charecter/brand ownership come into it.

Graxer 2009-03-31 22:00

Cool, just downloaded it it's great to play this without LBAWin!

Spoiler:
It isn't available if you go to Good Old Games and search for it. Also if you look at where the link actually sends you it takes you to "http://www.magicball.net/en/gamecard/little_big_adventure/", plus trying to do a search on Good Old Games after clicking that link searches the MBN forums. Also all of the links on the page refresh the page.

I'm calling this an April Fool. Its a very impressive convincing looking one though if i'm correct.

elmuerte 2009-03-31 23:46

either "whoosh" or "zing", take your pick

Streg 2009-04-01 00:20

I downloaded 10 of them :)

Polaris 2009-04-01 00:28

Finally !!!

RosaMarietheCow 2009-04-01 07:46

why would you waste $60 StreGGy!? I think you're kidding....

RGaspar 2009-04-01 08:45

F@@K yeah! LBA is back to business :D

Now I just need to make an online account. The question is: How? :P

I don't have any credit card.

WOW WOW WOW AMAZING! They are selling LBA again.

PS: LOL. I'm still not used to April Fool's jokes xD

Snookums 2009-04-01 09:18

Sh*tty April Fools joke on a classic game, for a moment there I was really excited for this.

I got fooled.

LtDemolition 2009-04-01 13:33

April Fool is wonderfull!

My friend and 6 others filled the room of the coordinator (assholes who get paid fine and some kind of 2nd bosses) in school with balloons, 1 balloon was 2x2 meters, she scared the shit when she opened the door :stupid:

|)|)|)

Congratz Elmuerte for fooling this guys :D

ChaosFish 2009-04-01 15:00

You actually got for me for a minute there :p

CiB 2009-04-01 15:04

Grrr.

Every April elmuerte offers hope. Every year I fall for it.

ChaosFish 2009-04-01 15:07

To be fair, most Aprils El just offers desperation.

Polaris 2009-04-01 21:49

... The joke here is the fact that you still need LBAwin to play with it ?

Streg 2009-04-02 00:27

the joke here is that this page is fake, you can't buy lba, and you still need lbawin to play it, yes.

Bot13 2009-04-02 01:33

Fooled me :) Was planning to check the GoG website later this week and buy myself a copy, really.

You are not the only one

Kudos EL. On the other hand, I curse you April Fool's day xD

OutOfTimer 2009-04-03 15:26

OMG !!! This is the best news in years !!! I'm gonna buy my copy right away... even two (if that's actually possible). LOL :D

UPDATE: April Fools... :'-(

I really don't think it's funny. As ChaosFish said it's rather desperation. I'll go buy myself another copy on e-bay.
