The Adeline people who created the series have had nothing to do with it since making the original.

See, the copyright is owned by the company, not the people who made it. If memory serves, after Frederick Raynals team made the first game, he went to new company Adeline, and Infogrames kept the AITD copyright. Adeline, incidentally, was mostly made from old Infogrames people, who left over disagreements with the head honchos of Infogrames on the issue of sequals to Alone In The Dark.

Now, the new game is being published by Atari, who are owned by Infogrames. So basically, the copyright is fine, as it's been the same company all along (but not the people).

Actually Darkworks (produced sequels) is compromised partially from former adeline members, however, they did not work on Alone in the Dark, as that was an infrogrames (spelling?) team made of 6 people (Fred, Yael, Didier, and some others)

Alone in the Dark 4 sucks so I will not check this one out.

Axx: it's Infogrames.

In fact, Darkworks only did The New Nightmare (AITD 4), in 1999, which was published by Infogrames. AITD 2 and 3 were both developed by Infogrames as well. So, actually, Darkworks produced a sequel, now sequels.

The next one is being developed by Eden games- so it may well be very different. But they are sticking with the 'not setting the game in the 1920's where it belongs' thing from AITD 4.

The only really good alone in the dark game was the first one.The others were mediocre.I don't expect anything different from this one.
