How would they make money/profit by paying for an army, even if they where able to it.
|
You don't need an army to achieve full world domination. Once the world is so dependant on your technology you have leverage oven courts even. And then the worlds armies will be yours.
|
meh.
Google would stop them. Of course, Google also wants to dominate the world. But at least you know with them it would be quicker, cleaner, and wont keep giving you "unable to connect to server" messages. Its interesting to think about though. In thoery, Microsoft could put a timed kill switch in every OS they sale to govement organisations. They could certainly cause choas worldwide. But then, it would be a one-shot thing. Also, as far as I know, I dont think Microsoft's operating recent systems are used for major applications. I think NASA and such use's smaller unix or maybe even dos stuff still. (smaller, lighter, and a lot more predictable). |

That was a good one! Of course in theory if all computers could be 'turned evil' it could do some harm, but as far as I know there's hardly any important services that are vital that uses Microsoft. There's really no reason why they should not use more unix-like systems. |
Yet!
Anyway, here's something to blow your head clean right off. Burj Dubai: http://www.joemonster.org/i/ae/wiezowiec1napierw.jpg http://www.joemonster.org/i/ae/wiezowiec2.jpg http://www.joemonster.org/i/ae/wiezowiec3.jpg http://www.joemonster.org/i/ae/wiezowiec4.jpg http://www.joemonster.org/i/ae/wiezowiec5.jpg http://www.joemonster.org/i/ae/wiezowiec6.jpg http://www.joemonster.org/i/ae/wiezowiec7.jpg Almost 700 metres, will probably reach 800-1000 when they put the antenna on. |
Joe Monster doesn't like hotlinking any more.

Fuckerz.
Well I guess you can see all the pics here then. http://www.burjdubaiskyscraper.com http://www.burjdubaiskyscraper.com/2...dubai_1001.jpg http://www.burjdubaiskyscraper.com/2...rjJuly2121.jpg |
Well, they certainly got ambitions thats for sure.
I really hope all this Dubia stuff pays off and generates a lot of tourism, hopefully lead the way for more bold plans elsewhere too. I think I read somewhere about preposals for a caron negative city/building/achology thing, but I cant find it now. Was basicaly a paryamid with slits in it. |
Speaking of world domination, check this shit out: https://www.google.com/health
Google actually invites everyone to upload their medical records to their servers. This sounds like a joke, but it's not the 1st of April. |
Well, if you trust them, thats probably quite usefull for countries without a national health service.
I mean, basic stuff like what jabs you have had when going on holliday I have trouble remembering. Allthough a standard personal medical card might be a better idea, then you can keep all the data with you, rather then needing to trust a 3rd party. (Plus it has the added advantage of being usefull in an emergancy; So people know if your allergic to certain medicines). Could also combine it with doner options too. |

I always hoped I'll live to see the day someone finds a way to do it. I didn't imagine it would happen so soon! WONDERFUL. (No, I'm not missing any limbs... I'm just excited about this) |
|
Watched all movies (and told other people about it).
This is amazing. Incredible. |
Good stuff.
But something about the figure didnt seem right. I'm skeptical...I wouldnt be supprise if that one was a hoax. Cant quite put my regrown figure on why though. Last I heard we could only grow single-cell type things. (bladders, skin, etc). As well as teath. Teath are the bodys default thing to grow it seems, as they often randomly grow in large tumours. |
Yays! The videos don't work!
¬¬ Speaking seriously, I didn't know about a powder but I knew about the stem-cells. It's awesome, it's the future, it's almost perfect, and now it's working!! Yays! Best news ever! Really! |

I really hope this isn't a hoax, I'd be very mad if it is. Maybe it just looks like a hoax because it looks too good to be true? |
I think it was because it was described as a kinda "magic dust" rather then a framework or treatment. Also, growing that figuretip seemed to have a bit of nail as well as the figure...seemed more complex.

Seriously, look at that picture where they show the finger as it was. It looks more like a big blister. Count the finger segments yourself if you doubt what i am saying. It's not that I don't want to believe it, it's just that the presented evidence is really weak.
