[LBA:TGR] This project is still alive!

Yes, ladies, and getlemen, the LBA: The Great Rebellion project is still alive! First of all, let me welcome our new technical co-leader, LBAWinOwns, who's also the leader of our new, Team-only, Wiki. Second of all, let me welcome Inotamira Orani on boa

*orgasm*

Kobold 2009-05-21 17:31

The "read more" link gives me a 404 error.

Just you watch mr!

We actually have a new plan that we'll hope make our work actually melt together into an actual final playable game.

Quetch 2009-05-22 06:41

I want news with a demo, not news telling me it's still alive :p it's like putting a sticker saying "I'm alive" on a dead body. Sorry to ruin it for ya, but we all know what a project means and we all know it takes A LOT more than this to get something done.

Kitarii 2009-05-22 15:06

Well it's not like OBrasilo has ever given accurate "release" dates, since everything takes at least 4 times longer than he anticipates, but I guess it's good to see they're still working.

Kobold 2009-05-22 15:10

Well, this message was entirely OBrasilo's idea.
It's true, we've started working again, but I thought it was too soon to call us "living" again. Don't worry Quetch, we actually try to finish stuff. We're definitely faster than LBA 3, in any case. :p

Double-J 2009-05-22 15:11

The Prequel is still in limbo until we finish testing. There, I said it! :p

LBAWinOwns 2009-05-22 16:05

Well we have some hosting issues, and my lack of technical knowledge of how to backup a wikimedia isn't helping either.

RGaspar 2009-05-22 20:15

Coming when it's done!

Axx 2009-05-23 03:52

I work in a games company at the moment. I cannot possibly imaging how a group over the internet can attempt a project so ambitious when it takes teams of 30 professional well trained full time staff 18 months to complete the same task!

I looked at the TGR aim and I admit it's way to high in my opinion.

But I'm also quite sure you'll be doing much more than us.

Neko 2009-05-24 00:59

both prequel and tgr aimed way too high.

Just make a playable mod please!

:)

Drummerbummer67 2009-05-24 05:51

why not take both teams and make one and do one at a time? i see a lot of the same people are doing both. you could all even make a poll to see which people are more excited about and really work to get that one out first then work on the other like make a demo of one then start the other one then finish one then the other.

Lightwing 2009-05-24 06:10

If we took both of our teams and multiplied them 10 fold, then maybe we would make a playable demo by 2012.

Drummerbummer67 2009-05-24 06:16

i'd be on board to help whatever way i can i think the easiest thing i can do is do voices for extras or whatever i'm no technical person but i can handle voices or opinions. i kinda don't want to get involved too much so i can have fun not quite knowing what to expect when i play it.

LBAWinOwns 2009-05-24 12:44

We're trying to make a wiki for the TGR, there we put everything that must be done with the project: Scenes, Grids, Voices, Sprites, Inventory Items, etc. etc.

That means that when we've put up everything that must be created, then we can get an overview and judge how realistic our goal is (or how unrealistic). Then maybe we can decide how much it would be appropriate to lower our goal

Echomote 2009-05-24 20:22

To get projects like this actually done people need to be set goals with deadlines.

LBAWinOwns 2009-05-24 21:39

But the first thing to be done is to estimate the work required.

Drummerbummer67 2009-05-24 23:37

agreed.
