Well yes, but take for example an accordion, gravity seems to be somewhat used to lower that left-hand part, and as I said a hurdy-gurdy in space wouldn't work that well as gravity is used to make...

I think he meant that it's weird for the string to move and resonate the same way as they do with gravity.

So awesome ! Hurdy-Gurdy in space shouldn't work that well though, we use gravity to make the keys fall back in place. And we have to tune it often even on earth :D
