Sorry for no replies, I was in a different city for a few days.

Yeah, I'll model the new one based on the features and body proportions of the old one. So the rig should fit just fine. No need to sweat about it.

Btw. I have a Twinsen in a tunic model somewhere, can upload it.

That's great ! Now I've got idle and walkcycle.
I will modify both animations so that they loop correctly and have the right speed.
Thanxs ! Tell me when you have computer + blender ready !
Jasiek, do you have the new mesh of the salesman ? I'd like to transfer current rig + animation to new one

Guess you need to play alot more with animation before it starts to shine. As for now it´s stiff, only half a cycle, mesh intersects and lifeless, but its a start, and as some call it: "good enough for goverment work"

I think the intersecting mesh is a bit my fault - the model is not really perfect... it has layers on top of each other and they interact while animating.

I didn't have the time to remodel it yet. Will do in a couple of days probably.

Hello !
Yes it's pretty quiet those days !
I think Jasiek is modeling a new version of the salesman, and I am working on the physic engine of the demo, specially I'm adding slopes and platform features.
Also I moved to another city and changed of work, that's why my activity is lower, until things get more stable.
How is the animations doing ?

city and work are pretty good. I design medical equipment, the mechanical part, and live very close to Barcelona. I bought new parts for my PC, so that now I can take advantage of last technologies while developing the game.

after a few weeks without news, here is Little Script Adventure V3 :
http://www.davidglass.fr/lsa/Little%...nture%20V3.zip

no source code here, and only windows version

- blender map now has a basic scene editor, try it ! (look at layer 1 and 2)
- added slopes support in engine
- camera chasing removed

things that I'm working on for V4 :
- improve AI
- replace bots mesh by grobos

Awesome, awesome news!!!

However, without a Linux version I won't be able to use it or make maps . Unless it works in wine?

Amazing work! The AI still runs through and over everything, but I bet you're working on that.
Maybe you should make Twinsen go to sporty mode instead of having this odd "press shift" running mode.

Hello !
Wish you all a happy new year and lot of fun !!
I already have a version of LSA with full working AI, no more bots getting everywhere they want ... I'll upload it when I compile it under Linux. Well ... It means I will have to install Linux just for that but it's ok ....
Oh, also, I'm working on the grobo animation, moving ears and trump are little tricky, coz I always worked with human animation. It requires a little of imagination ! I think I will also include grobo to next version.
Kobold, you're right, I should setup running mode as default and associate walk mode to shift key.
Jasiek, any project about new map ?

Awesome! The grobos are really nicely animated. This looks great, guys.

I noticed a little collision bug with Jasiek's machine in the corner. I can walk into it a bit from the corner.

It's a good occasion to introduce you to everybody the basic map editor
If you open nearpharmacy.blend, you'll find at the corner some buttons that allow you to edit the scene. For example, select the cells you want to modify the height to correct that collision bug and increase/decrease height. You can also modify brick shapes and other not yet active stuff like step sound and special effects (grass, water, smoke). To switch between scene editor and 3D map press 1 or 2 in the 3D window. This will change the active Blender layer. Make sure you export the map to overwrite existing map.txt by clicking on "export map.txt"
You can also modify/export twinsen and grobo by pressing Alt+P in the script window. You can now design your own character Make sure to read licence text files before modifying stuff that are not yours.
ALWAYS check console window when running scripts/export map, it prints a lot of useful stuff !
