Darflame : what mode did you played when you encountered the problem you reported ? I guess it was TreasureHunt (36=15x15) ? BTW, each grid size have a max time (start time counter), 4 minutes for a 15x15 sized grid. When you use a time bonus, the counter is limited to the start time. We have to think about this problem, how best manage such situation. For exemple, it could the time bonuses couldn't be used unless there's enough time to add ? or don't have a limit on counter ? Don't hesitate to give your opinion (or other ideas?).
Thanks for the report anyway

I'd understand that, but I tried using the second time bonus when I only had about a minute left.
The weirdness was not that the bonus didn't get added....it was that I seemed to run out of time before the bar showed my time was almost up. So it was as if the bar and the "real" time became out of sycn.

And yes, it was on testurehunt mode.

I'll try to reproduce the problem to give you more information as it seems rather strange.
(enjoying the game, btw)

Hi Lbas.

I went Wednesday 16, between 18:00 and 20:00 but...we were only 2 most of the time.

Do you have much work in this moment ?

I admit I didn't patricipate myself...
This is our main problem actually, the lack of permanent connected people...
In fact, that's right when you connect and see there's nobody (or almost), this doesn't encourage to stay connected and to play as it's main goal (and fun) is the cooperative mode... We tried to add the scores (and records) tables to find interest playing in solo mode (waiting for other to connect), and we're looking for other ideas (you're welcome if you have any )...
We're convinced the concept could be fun, but don't know how to make a solid community to ensure there's always connected people...

Yes, kinda catch-22. You need players to be there in order to play, in order to find out (hopefully) its fun, in order to get more, in order for players to be there!

I can think of a few ideas, but probably not that easy to implement;

a) If you could send a message to your friend even when they are offline. Like "hay! I'm here now and need an extra player". This would involve hocking up the same into some chat program standards.
The game would then send the (already signed up) player a link with the message, and clicking that link takes them (after login) straight to the mission page where their friend is waiting.
I dont think this would be an easy task but it might work, as lots of people stay signed into Gmail chat/Skype/MSN all day long.
How to tie a game into those chat systems I dont know. Should be possible, as I've seen it used for non-gaming sites (vark.com).

b) Perhaps some subtle reward for just being logged in? Every hour or so?
I normally dont like this kinda brainless passive gameplay, but it could help keep people logged in.

c) Other incentives to log-in. If there was somehow different events, random features, areas only open on some days or hmz...something? This would be a continuous effort rather then a one-of development like the others, but could be the most powerful to keep people coming back.

Not sure any of these ideas are usefull. For sure, theres no quick-fixs I can think of.
Just need to get a threshold of active users.

Also a mini game to play (like Pacman) while you're waiting is always good

Hello.

A few suggestions when we must wait other gamers :
- to come more time on the official forum of the game, it seems deserted.
- introduce the choice to have a "bot" into explorations when there is only one gamer on Cosmicrew.
- possibility to use our customized ship into "duel race" (not only a basic ship with 6 engines).

Also, a quick comment about ColourCross online;

Is there a way to disable the help/tutorial messages? Ive already read them all yet they keep popping up.
If not, you should put that in somewhere.

In theory, when you close an help message seen for the first time, it doesn't reappear unless you click on the "maestro" icon. But it seems a bug appeared in an update last week, as all messages was marked as "unread". Nethertheless, if after closed it reappear automatically when you come back on that screen, it would mean that there's still a bug so don't hestitate to mention it.
Anyway, it should be a good option to add, we've a meeting this afternoon (on many improvements !), I'll add it to the list.
There's also a new version available since beginning of the week with some new features/improvements : Chat, Personnal statistics (when you click on a connected guy icon), ability to see previous day results of the grid of the day, etc. + some fixes.
Thanks again

I let you decide how to promote it if you want to promote it.
But in other hand, I don't want to abuse of LBA community to promote LWS games...
(espically because we've a lot of activity to promote )

Darkflame, I saw you decided to post a link to the front page, many thanks for that !!!
To be as accurate as possible, I would add some points :
- Animal Color Cross had also been released on DSi-Ware (28 may on EU and 28 june on US) and already has number of good reviews, even in the official Nintendo magazine !
- Animal Color Cross is coming soon on I-Phone and I-Pad, I'll let you informed...

- We also (very) just released (01 july 2010) a funny game on I-Pad called 'Splash Duel HD' (Arknoid + pong like mix), already very well accepted by the community while it had been released only yesterday ! Uk Trailer : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2F75vogptk , and many articles already found on the web, just ask google for 'Splash Duel HD'.

Cosmicrew looks pretty sweet. I haven't been able to play multiplayer yet, but it seems like it'd be really fun.

I logged on yesterday and had to wait for all the content to load (understandable). But I logged on again today, and it had to download all that stuff all over again! What gives? Is it possible you could release a stand-alone version that can be downloaded onto the computer?

Colour Cross on facebook at the moment is letting me replay the grid of the day as many times as I like
hmz. Something a bit wrong there.

Darkflame - Can you clearify what you're talking about? For how long have Little Worlds Sutdio had their game on FB, is it a trial or not. For us who don't know that information would be nice.
