Twinsun is a smaaaaaaaaall planet
Eleven years ago, when I first played LBA2, I skipped a detail... and I don't know if everyone else is aware of this.
Twinsanians are the size of SpongeBob. Even smaller. Picture the Twinsanian souvenir shop at Otringal. When the Sup leads you to the dissidents down the basement, something must come to your attention. At first I thought those massive thimbles and cotton buds where just... big furniture. But this week, when I got there again, I put Twinsen in front of them to see if he'd say something. Nothing. Only when he's standing in front of the lock he'd notice. One of the dissidents (can't remember if it was the Franco) says that's garbage from a distant planet... which is obviously Earth. I mean, the cotton bud is taller than Twinsen. Picture that cotton bud in your hand. Twinsen is only 5cm tall!! Peut-être un hommage pour Le Petit Prince?? |

on the other hand water doesnt scale down so even the smallest waves would actually be able to get to twinsen's house through his chimney

The Little Prince (or whatever is it's name in english) isn't that small, the planets he visits are small, but all the habitants and objects have the same size on earth.
I think the title is more a reference to the battle of Little Big Horn and toward the film "Little Big Man" than anything else.

Yes, when I see that I laughed. It's probably true. I noticed it, when I played.

I was just wondering. I found an user who even took the time to measure lengths: http://forum.magicball.net/showthread.php?t=2413
He was eleven by then so the effort is remarkable: 200m, which is obviously wrong. If an average man's height is 1.80m (6ft), then 180cm is to 200m as 5cm is to 5.5m. Yeah. Citadel Island has the size of a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis. You could own Hot Wheels cars and a Twinsun model to the same ~1:60 scale and everything would fit inside your closet. It seems smaller when we realise some of us live in a house bigger than the actual planet hehe. It's really funny though. If you believe in Physics... Twinsun is actually real, but in the eighth dimension, where everything, even what you couldn't ever conceive as real, is possible. Pff that game really messes up your brain! |

Wow, that thread was a walk down memory lane...Gaz, Vultures, my man Morden, Homer. Crazy. I wonder if we could send out mass emails and see how many old members could stop by and say hello.
