Alone in the Dark Movie based on the game

Plot Outline: Based on the video game, Alone in the Dark focuses on Edward Carnby, a detective of the paranormal, who slowly unravels a mysterious events with deadly results.

Wasn't this Freds game or I just may be mistaken

To me this is really big; for Fred to have a movie made after his game, I mean there aren't too many movies based on games (even though they are growing), and picking Alone in the Dark seems like picking a needle out of a haystack, because there are alot of games out there, and it never appeared to me as making a movie out of.

As for Frederick, I don't think that many people ever gave him credit for participating in the making of the game.

Why does it say 2005, Is it a newer version?

It was made very recently, it came out early this year.

However it does suck, and wasnt based on any of the games, let alone the first.
It was made by "uwe boll", a mysterious chap that makes bad movies, lose's shitloads of money...and yet still gets handed lots of liesences to make more from.
Ironicaly, his movies got higher rateings (higher as in 5/10) before he started using game liesences.

I have the AitD movie on my desk atm, waiting for me to see it...
And AitD4 (the game) really sucks a lot of things imo. Played it for a little while but it was so bad I stopped playing. I noticed the same characters of AitD4 are used in the movie so I'll see if it has the same story.
