Maybe this priest they're talking about in the script is the one mosquibee next to the fragment chest, who was supposed to be in some kind of peril with the monster on the platform in front of him.
I wouldn't have minded requeing him, regardless of the plot change.

There's no priest. It's a mistranslation of the word "officiant" which here more probably means "officer".

Done . Looks like they are both with 5 stars currently. Is there a list in the site somewhere with "games with highest rating" or something like that?

It can always be better, look, 1st and 2nd place!

Hmm, but there seems to be no 3rd place in that list...

I guess Time Commando is not on GOG.com, or they don't list it under producer Adeline Software International.

Didn't try yet this version on Mac, but I have both games working with Boxer. Check the guide.

I always thought it weird the old mosquibee seemed so familiar with Twinsen when he came to get the fragment.
And yes, Funfrock does indeed say he captured the children to ensure the wizard's cooperation. However since he had them all under control by the time Twinsen got there, he didn't need the kids anymore and proceeded to try to kill them. Because he's just that mean.
I forget, but do they ever explain why the Wannies dislike you so much after you take their fragment? Maybe I just wasn't paying attention this last playthrough...

Yes is was explained. I can't quite remember who explained this, if it wasn't the Wannies Monk, but it was said the Wannies deeply believed Dark Monk was going to release the gas and let the wonders of their world rearise. You interfere with this believe by taking the key fragment. This is noticable when you try to take it. It is the only fragment that gives a cutscene, where you accidentally drop it by a blinding light, and Mr. Monk's voice informs you to be cautious "not [...] to break this precious fragment".

Hmm... I always thought that voice belonged to Dark Monk. Not FunFrock, but the original one.

Could be my mistake, I indeed never understood how Mr. Monk could have sounded his voice all the way over there if he was on the other side of the island... Though I didn't really listen to the voice, comparing them, so I don't know if it is true.
I shall do this soon.

It's the same voice, but this doesn't mean anything, because in LBA, lots of NPCs have the same voice.

I'm using the English voices, don't know about you, but I've tried and it's not the same voice. Maybe the same actor, dunno 'bout that, but Mr. Monk has a little accent over the voice in the fragment's room. So you're right, I didn't notice this myself. It's not Mr. Monk but more likely the original Dark Monk, who isn't encountered anywhere else or even explained.

Nevertheless, Mr. Monk explains about their belief. I know this for sure, as I always found their "belief" to be quite annoying... Accusing me of stealing their fragment, phiew. I'm only trying to help!...

I meant that I thought the two voices actually belong to a single voice actor, but now I'm not sure.

That's still possible, as I think it's not difficult to act an accent.
But I don't think accents has lot to do with this thread anymore...

Is there a list somewhere with full voice acting credits? I.e. who did whose voice? In my Twinsen's Odyssey booklet there's only a list of voice actors, but none is associated with any character.

1. Yes, most of the "known bugs" are caused by FunnyFrog's patch, which overwrites a seemingly blank space in the middle of the file, but the blank space seems to be used by some of the game's variables, so the overwrite seems to affect those variables, causing the bugs.

2. Contrary to popular belief, FunnyFrog's patch has nothing to do with the Windows version, but instead it has to do with the graphics card used. I have successfully run LBA 2 on Windows XP without FunnyFrog's patch, while I had instances where I had to use the patch on Windows 2000 because there was an ATi graphics card that caused the bug with LBA 2.

3. According to my reaearch, the GoG version of LBA 2 is the European one, confirmed by both the executable file being named LBA2.EXE, relevant files being identical to the European version ones, and the Version being set to 3 in LBA2.CFG.

It's odd that they release the US version of LBA 1, but the European version of LBA 2. Ah well. At least they released the game.
