Exclamation LBA2 now runs in DOSBox

Yes! As you might know, the LBA2 exe file is for Windows but also for DOS. And DOSBox' latest CVS runs it!
That means that you can run LBA2 in linux or any other operating system. It's still very very (very) slow, and no sound except for CD music. But it runs, and it will run perfectly in the not so far future, so I belive.

If you still haven't heared of DOSBox, it's the best DOS emulator in existence although it's still far from completion, and you must get the CVS. click here.
You must register to the forum to download it though.

Fascinating! Interesting! Fabulous! =

But... I don't know anything about CVS.

Mor: read my post again... I explained what DOSBox is.

Mina: CVS build is like a beta release, only that it isn't a realease. CVS is modified at the moment one of the programmers modifies the code, that means that no one tested it before you downloaded it. CVS is meant for use of the programmers only, but it's still fun to download and test it.

Assa: very simple. If D: is your LBA2 cd and C:\Games\LBA\LBA2 is your LBA2 folder you should type this in DOSBox:
Code:
mount d D:\ -t cdrom
mount c C:\Games\LBA\LBA2
Now simply type
Code:
C:
LBA2

Wow.
The new version of DOSBox runs LBA2 in reasonable speed!
Still no sound, but still!
First of all, run dosbox, then press CTRL+F12 a couple of times until there's "7727, Frameskip 0" in the window title, then:
Code:
mount d <enter cd location here> -t cdrom
mount c <enter LBA2's local folder here>
C:
LBA2
Now you've got LBA2 runs in DOSBox!

If, for example, your LBA2 folder is C:\Program Files\Little Big Adventure 2, then write:
mount c C:\Progra~1\Little~1 [Enter]
C: [Enter]
twinsen [Enter]

LBA2 works under windows normally anyway, doesn't it? All most people need is a GF2 patch. (assuming they have a NVIDIA based gpu..)
