Finished Penumbra Overture Ep1. It's awesome.

Started to play Bioshock, also a pretty awesome game!

Brothers in Arms. Got it for 6 euro. Didn't expect much of it but it's a great game. Give it a try. Also playing Outrun 2006 Coast 2 coast also for 6 euro. Just for the remixes of the songs of the original game I would buy this game. It's absolute greatness, but I can imagine if you never played the first you'll hate it.

Probably the next PC game I get.
A sequal has been announced already

Incidently, I only played the "demo" /freeware one, but it had a kinda Lost-vibe.

Does Overture have much the same, or does it have different themes/feelings to it?

It never really reminded me of Lost. You are lost, yes, but unlike Lost, you're pretty much alone (excluding several grotesque creatures and one nutcase), and you don't base your actions on flashbacks from your past

It's a very good horror survival game, there were some really scary parts. And it does feel very real - which was the original purpose of this game. You get a very good idea on the process of losing your mind after being trapped several years alone in an abandoned underground construction.
You also learn recipes for explosives. Thanks to this game I now know chemistry better

BioShock is in many ways similar to Penumbra. It's more lighthearted than Penumbra though, and it's very cool in its own way.

I think the original demo gave me a Lost vibe because of the hatch/blizzard into, and then the game was mostly about what you dont see

Also, maybe I'm streching it here, but I think Lost has a pretty lonely feel at times despite them being a big group

I did find the demo of Penumbra scary enough mind, very effectively done.

I played the demo of bioshock, pretty good, but I got enough to play, and I wont be buying it as long as that DRM shit is still in there;

I mean really, DRMs bad enough, but then to trust SONY>!?! O_O

But I want to pay the developers for making a (probably) great game.
Very few PCs games appeal to me these days, so when one comes along, I get particaly annoyed the publishers put Sonys SecureRom crap on it. (which I certainly dont want to support).

I mean, gee, I change my PC configeration half a dozen times a year, they expect me to un-resgister and re-register the game online after each hardware change? fuck that.

They said in an interview thayt they would release a version without Secure rom in a few months time.
I'll leave it till early next year, then I'll get one

Well, I didn't say don't buy the game, I just said use a crack

BioShock is a great game, it'd be silly not to play it out of principle.

Bioshock is indeed awesome.
I didn't play pneumbra, but it's surprising to hear that bioshock is more lighthearted, since it's quite twisted.

I like listening to the splicers mutter to themselves, I really feel bad for them

Bioshock is twisted indeed, but its lighthearted too, which helps the twistedness.

Penumbra on the other hand is just bloody scary as hell.

I want more great games like it, thus I want to pay.
But I want less DRM shit, so thus I dont want to pay.

Therefor I will wait

The Secret Files : Tunguska - Pretty fun game. Not the most original plot in the world, but good puzzles and absolutely fantasic humour. (especialy the end credit scenes ) Voice acting could be better, but not something that should put you off the game.
I won this game in a compo, but I think I'm certainly going to get the sequal based on this

It was fascinating. Now I'm less ignorant and ready to play half-life 2

Now starting to watch Opposing Force full video walkthrough...

Glade too see a good review of Worms2 seeing as I found the first one on Ds terrible.
I'll probably get this one though

As for reviews, give me a few weeks and I'll be begging more reviews for my database

race driver create n race..
very happy to have a racer that isn't 100% night time in a city, everything seems alright, only thing that's bugging me is the inconsistant framerate, when there's 7 cars in front of you it seems to drop from 60 to 30fps

other than that, still playing Twinsen every damn day for at least an hour, I really am confident when it's finished it will be my favourite game of all time

Yeah I was really pleasantly surprised. Huge campaign, massive puzzle mode, labs, loads of customisation and ONLINE!!!

Now if only I can stop being paired up against people who think unlimited weaposn is the way to go...

1) Jetpack onto enemy worm head
2) Drop banana bomb
3) Jetpack away
4) Rinse and repeat

I mean ffs - how fucking annoying can you get? Play the game properly and limit your bloody weapons!
