Some pretty art :D
Just a piece of art I've been working on. It's still a WIP, cos I need to get the DoF better, and I also need to create more moody lighting. Nevertheless here are 2 versions. I prefer the first myself

Nice work.
I think the taps a bit to squarish though.
I know your going for a certain style of shot, but I think the camera angle is a whee bit awkward too.

I much prefer the second one.
Nicer camera angle, not as "killer shiny"
Perhapes some circlar ripples in the water, either by bump, or my a modifier.
A little bit lighter on the right maybe too.

Nice render the_angry, I agree with DF about the taps. You could also increase the amount of polygons on the tablets, is there anything equivalent to meshsmooth in Truespace? You could add some small circular ripples towards the tap area. Other than that, great work

Hopefully I can sort a few of the hyperreflective problems in the first one when I alter the lighting. I also want the cigs to cast shadows, and I will increae the res of the worktop texture. You may have noticed that the taps are a bit crap - they weren't intended to be a focal point of the scene, that just happened by accident. I might try recomposing a bit to get the main focus on the cigs.

the_angry_: Indeed, the taps look too 'super shiny', perhaps you could make them look 'dirtier' a little to hide some of their reflection, or like you said, decrease the map amount. You're right about decreasing the scale of the worktop texture, they look a little 'pixley' in the renders Can't wait to see an improved version!
