Everything is working fine until...

I get to that island with the aliens and then I see Joe and then the Emperor says "That's the twinsunian we want, arrest him!" and then I'm in jail and Joe teleports from his cell to mine and starts talking to me and then it crashes with something about memory?

Any Ideas?

I run on XP and I installed a patch btw...

I think I once had LBA2 crash around that point of the game too. I think I fixed it by loading an older savegame and trying again, maybe that would work for you too.

What spec system are you running?
Do you get problems with other games?
I guess it would be a compatability issue, however one thing which used to make games crash for me was a setting in CMOS which allowed faster use of shared graphics RAM (can't remember the setting off hand) - but if a program did not know how to cope with this reservation it would write to the reserved block causing a program crash. I will see if I can find out more for you.

Does it come up with the same message (including the memory hex) each time? If so it is possible it is a memory problem. If not it is probably just a software glitch - anyway - that's my 2 cents

Hell, I tell this only once:
If you have XP, then you must run the game on the Win95 or Win98 subsystem. Otherwise, it won't work correctly.

Try running a memory test (search on the internet) - if that is clean than it is almost certainly a problem caused by the WinXP thing. Though saying that I find XP runs my DOS games better than 95,98 or ME!

I had this. Use the savegame editor to get to a different point in the game (like after you've left the cell). Should work then. Mind you, since I reformated, I haven't had this problem and LBA2 works fine with XP...

i had the same problem with my old DOS computer. i don't think it's the OS somehow...

try reinstalling the game? i can't remember how i got past that crash.

OK, I'll explain you, how to do it:
1. YOU DO NOT NEED TO INSTALL WINDOWS 95 OR WINDOWS 98.
2. Right-click on the Little Big Adventure 2 or Twinsen's Odyssey shortcut.
3. Select Properties.
4. Go under Subsystems, or where the h*ck it is.
5. And select the Win95 subsystem (or the Win98 one, if it's there).
6. RUN THE F**KING GAME.
