After a long but fertile wait of almost three years, LBA9 is finally here!

The only time we had to wait that long for an LBA sequel was in 2000, when LBA3 came three long years after LBA2. Let's hope LBA10 won't take that long!

So, did anyone have a chance to try the new LBA yet? Personally I can't wait to get my hands on it. Be sure to use spoiler tags though!

I think we already established the LBA7 "Embodiment of The Third Sendell" expansion pack was long and full of features enough to be considered LBA8.

Just watched the trailer.

I'm kind of annoyed that IX is based on the storyline of VI-2, which to be quite honest I found disappointing. I'm not too fond of fan service, if you catch my drift.

I have to say it's looking good tho, and the LightningSpell engine is promising. Also what's with that hooded quetch? Could it be Twinsen?

I liked the cellshading, looked particularly nice in the underwater sections. (allthough they have used them FAR too much now, I hope IX dosnt have any).

Incidental, have they fixed the voiceacting yet? I didnt like the choice of voiceactors for arthurs daughter.

I don't care about the graphics as long as they get the controls right. Those bazillion behaviour modes in the remake of LBA V were really stupid. Who needs "standing", "tripping" and "sleeping" anyway? Also, slippery mode was useless.

What do you mean? Your username clealy shows how much you enjoyed LBA 7.

In my opinion, the series has been going downhill since LBA 6, when Dark Monk revealed that he was Twinsen's father! LBA 3 was by far the best of all!

I think they mean it will be both 3rd and first person, like 4 was, and most of the Zelda games before Nintendo started bought that planet and started building hyrule for real.

I think when Twinsen will switch to first person when aiming, using his sword, or flying on dinofly, with 3rd person used for conversations, puzzle solving, and when twinsen rolls up into his MagicBallMode(tm).

I think this guy has come from one of those other dimensions we have heard about. Aparrently there is a dimension where something called "Final Fantasy" (or something like that) had loads of sequels. (With only two LBA games)

I can't imagine a world without so many LBA sequels.

And I agree with DF. Funky mode was teh schizz. From what I hear there's meant to be way to mix modes in 10 Funky + agressive = kapoera bitch! Own that army of clones in no 3

Also you guys are assuming too much stuff, FunFork said he was Twinsen's father, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's true. In LBA VII Zoé apparently dies, but in EoTTS they bring her back, remember? Fred likes to play with our minds.

Turns out the hooded quetch was actually Arthur's daughter. WTF?

Mainly, the hooded quetchs l33t skateboarding skills.
As established by the scenes of Twinsen using the combined powers of all the past Chosen Ones at the end of the last one, skills are stored genetically in the quetchs third RNA strand of their tripple helix and thus passed down to descendants.

This also leading weight to the theory that funfrock isnt twinsens father, as Twinsen has shown no sign of Funfrocks science, engineering or Dance Dance Revolution skills.

(save, except, for when he possessed the essence of Funfrock as a nural clone in his brain, resulting in Zoes apparent death)

LethalSwordsMan - I do love the idea of mixing modes. But what about modes that dont work together? Agnostic Mode + Religious Zilot Mode? Sporty Mode + Slob Mode?

I would, however, love to see a Discrete Mode + Disco Mode.

Combined with the (already confirmed) ability to set modes on NCPs using the Trumpet of Controll, that could be really fun.

Ah! But DF, you see mixing such modes cancel out mostly and form new alterations of normal mode. Can't see that there'd be much use for them but I think they were going to dum down some of the older modes and make you have to mix to get those working. It's like a new way to make it more exciting once you unlock new modes, I heard its going to be one of the biggest additions to the new LBA and the developers are very proud of it .

One of my favs though is how they got the different coloured tunics with all their awesome powers. It was cool how you could do combos with behaviours/tunics, like RZ mode in a white tunic gave you an aura that actually changed the power of some weapons. Ring of lightnings conversion was so much fun, especially in that room where you send an army of francos to own the sups. Much easier and funnier than doing the dirty work yourself...

And yea, I heard about FF, looked really promising. Turns out the developers had some spat. Apparently there was a love triangle going on in the higher group and they never got over it. Pity, I was really looking forward to a sequel.
