FYI: How to get LBA2 running in correct aspect ratio

Hey all,

This is something that's been bugging me for a long time, I finally kinda figured it out so I thought I'd post for everyone's benefit.

The LBA2 files that you can download from LBAHQ are really great, but if you have a widescreen monitor your game will be stretched. I don't know about you guys but that really, REALLY bothers me. So I figured out a makeshift solution.

Step 1:
Go to the lbahq website and download an LBA2 disk image.
Burn the CD.
Put your new CD in the drive.
Install the game.

Step 2:
Open up C:\LBA\DosBox\dosbox.conf
Instead of "fullresolution=original", set it equal to your screen resolution, e.g. "fullresolution=1280x800"
Instead of "scaler=normal2x", change it to "scaler=normal2x forced".
You might also want to try some of the other possible values for "scaler" if this doesn't give you the desired result.
If your screen is small, you may have to leave the "scaler" value how it was, and just have the game run at a 1-to-1 pixel ratio (I can't find any way around this)

Step 3:
Right click on "DOSBox.exe" and say "Create Shortcut."
Drag your new shortcut onto the desktop or wherever you want it to be.
DELETE the "Little Big Adventure 2 DosBox" shortcut on your desktop.
Running it would overwrite your old dosbox.conf file.
Rename "DOSBOX.exe - Shortcut" to "Twinsen's Odyssey" or "Little Big Adventure 2" or whatever you want it to be.

If anyone knows any better ways of doing this, feel free to chime in!

Look in your graphics card's driver control panel to change the scaling mode, or wait until I finish testing my renderer (i.e. finish playing through LBA2 again).
