LBA Developers, you have a larger following that just the regulars on MBN; there are a lot of us who pass by periodically awaiting of fantastic news like this!

I hope the MBN really drives a focus on the front page to buy the remake to support Fred and team.

I'm noticing a trend with alot of game remakes lately; eg. Monkey Island.

I was and still am pretty much a lurker on MBN; I was lurking for a few years before I decided to post something. Its mainly because I didn't feel like I had much to add. The LBAnet project grabbed my attention especially when my comments are noticed and I'm given feedback on all my creations.

Most people aren't concerned until big updates otherwise you only get worked up for 5 minutes worth of fixes & features (even though its a slow path for developers & modders alike).


I have some ideas on how we could spark more life into the community.

Monkey Island is also such a great classic game. Great they brought that one back....!

Anyone has heard any news from Fred yet? I can't wait to hear something! Even trough it will take a lot of time to make the lba1 remake.

A looong time ago I played Gobliiins 1, 2 and 3 (awesome ms-dos games), and for a long time I was expecting a new one (just like i'm specting lba3 and this remake now)... One they the team came up with this fucking horrible new 3D game Gobliiins 4... I threw the disc to the garbage can... I really really really hope this remake, or LBA3 if it's ever gonna be made, not to suck like most new games. that's all.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Gobliiins 3 was one of the best games ever. Goblins 4 was pure shit. The sad thing is that it was made by the same person. I guess he grew old and lost his touch or something. I hope Ron Gilbert and Tim Schefer still got it in them for the new Double Fine Kickstarter Adventure.

As for the LBA1 remake, I'm not too worried. Worse case scenario we can just ignore it. But I think it'll be awesome.

Wow this is amazing news! I really thought this series would eventually fade away. Is it ridiculous for me to not dismiss the possibility I am dreaming right now. I will admit, there have been LBA3 centered dreams before, but this is real life right? I haven't preordered a game in like 7 years.

I'd love to see a feature film made of Relentless. I always thought these games would make great movies. My brother and I used to play LBA 2 as kids but I never got a chance to play 1. It's pretty good so far.

That's not really what i expected... I hope they put it on steam too! Or maybe even web-based.

I'm developing games for Android and the controls are soo limited! If you develop games specially for these limitations that's okay.. but LBA1 needs a lot of controls.. the switching between the different modes for example.

But LBA1 on a phone..? Hmmm...

Well i wait for a pc version! Or maybe XBLA or PSN
