OpenTTD - a free opensource update to Transport Tycoon Deluxe. You need the original game files (it's aboandonware) to play but it expands it in every possible way. Not least new vehicles, graphics, options, timeframe and map size!!!! from 256x256 on the original game to a massive 2048x2048 plus support for resolutions up to 1280x1024. IF you loved TTD this gives it a whole new lease of life for FREE!!! Check out www.openttd.org for the latest stable version plus the nightly builds! ww.abandonia.org is also useful

Currently playing Populous 3: The Beginning and Shogo: Mobile Armor Division. Beautiful games, both of them.

Last game I played was Brain Training. Nice for a while but I cant be bothered doing it every day.

Also played Chibi-Robo for the first time. Great game. It really feels like an old adventure game to me. Just going around finding items and solving puzzles.

Also played Command and Conquer for a bit since I got The First Decade a few days back.

Darwinia ~ Funky fun statergy game. The mouse-gesture based interface cant get a bit annoying, but the game overall is really fresh and well balanced.
Not to mention the kick-arse Tron style too it all

Heh, I played Generals for about a day a while ago, and just happen to be installing Red Alert 2 now.
I should also get the First Decade sometime.

Heh, when I bought it I thought it would be like 10 CDs or something. It's just 2 DVDs, one with all the games and one with bonus material. They really did it nicely, when you installed them you get a menu with all the games and you can choose which you want to play from there.

Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars

I can't believe that I haven't played this game until now. It's very, very good and I was very surprised to find myself so taken in and absorbed by a game that wasn't set in a fictional world (like pretty much every other adventure I've played). Just walking around Paris and taking in the atmosphere is excellent. I'm playing the second one now however, and it's not appealing to me as much (and they changed a lot of voice actors! That always bugs me!). Still that doesn't take anything away from this game!

It's a pretty nice game but I still think the main character is an idiot.

Yes! One of my favourite games.

The last game I played was probably Connect 4. I lost, as usual. The "easy" computer opponent is still too hard. I think the "hard" one is probably easier actually.

Broken Sword 4, they came back to the original point and click interface, and strangely I was bugged by that, becouse in the Broken Sword 3 the action like interface worked quite nicely. Now I'm playing Prince of Persia: Two Thrones.

Bushmeister, Broken Sword 2 sucks compared to the other parts, it's too much like The Flight of the Amazon Queen. BS 1,2,3 are my pick - awesome games!

Yeah, I'm not digging this whole Aztec thing as much as the medieval stuff. Also Nico sounds rubbish in this game, after sounding quite awesome in the last one

Any chance someone liked Seven Spielbergs "the DIG"? I know I did, at that time I was hooked on it.

One of the coolest games I ever played, a hard core sci-fi story by Orson Scott Card, directed by Spielber back in the days when he made good movies - awesome game.

Thought you might be the one who likes it. Seems like we got taste.
-edit-
Next thing you are going to tell me you never heard of Terry Pratchett.

I think that there are only like 4-5 books of his that I haven't red, been there with the disc world story from it's start - He's an awesome writer, but I have to say that I liked all his older books more than the newer ones, maybe the Fifth Elephant will change that, once I get my hands on it...

Yes, thought you might. I was reading all that I could get my hands on. Don't remember where I stopped. Think I'm going to see the library soon.

Back on topic: the last game I played is LBA(1) to study Twinsen's basic movements.

Starship Troopers

Zoiks... don't play this game...
I knew it's going to be just a dumb shooter, but the graphics are worse than in AvP2, and the killing of some bugs is just silly, you run around them, blazing at them with your gun and nothing happens...
There are parts from the movie, wich look awefull and out of place, and the "narrator voice" is not even nearly as good as the original one - this game sucks ass...

Well, the engine they use is pretty powerful, so you can't really claim it looks worse than AvP2. Though, I agree, this game is not something you would like to get as a christmas gift.

There are some neat moments with it though, simply because it's based upon the Starship Troopers'verse. But quite frankly, killing flies in your own bathroom provides much greater neatness, in overall.

Simply put; Fuck this game, and not literally.
