I thought you might consider this as criticism towards you, that's why I added "(at least in some cases)" and I also mentioned it's just my guess and added a little lol about me being a so-called doctor, but if you wanna be rigshi then fine.

About the psychologist thing, I must correct myself that I mean those who work per hour, and are not guaranteed to get a new client as soon as the first one is cured.

CS2X - I'm not sure you really can define a depression like that, seeing the explanation you wrote. To my ears, it more sounds like some sort of a vitamin deficiency, just as a deficiency of water will cause you a headache.

Quote:
Depression is a disease like any other, and can come into being due to faulty amounts of certain chemicals in the human mind.
For me its just like saying "5 metres - 3 seconds", I mean in the way, that you must not mix concrete (chemicals) with abstract (the human mind).

Well, it is what the study of the mind sais, and the fact that meds help you with a depresion kind of prooves it. You, as a person, are a biproduct of chemical reactions and simple bodily needs clashing with the real world reality, or as Freud would put it, your Ego is a biproduct of Id and Superego interacting with each other. What astonishes me, is that people think it's "just" chemistry, while the sole fact of a mind so complex, existing in a complex net of neurons and cravings controlled by hormones, has created a sentient mind - the chemistry is a field, it initializes certain processess, of course the mind, to a degree can controll them, but still it is made of them -they are it's structure, so it is obvious that a chemical imbalance can couse mental desease.

What do you mean Jasiek? Your whole post does not seem to be a reply to my quote...

Do you mean "the human mind" is something concrete, that is material?

Your "abstract" is a product of the interaction between the "chemical" side, and the outside world -> in short.

There would be no "abstract" without the "chemical", all of you and who you are, is decided by certain hormones - of course decisions made in the "macro" world by the "abstract", have an impact on how much of a certain hormone gets to the reception point, so it's not "fixed", but by changing the chemical balance/imbalance you can change the mood of a person. For example, you change your mood by yourself, when eating sugar, or having pleasure, becouse the serotonine level is rising that's why we have the "winter depression" thing, when the limited amount of sunlight, makes the serotonine production smaller, thus reacting in our bad humour.

Didn't read the topic yet, but I'm off in a few minutes to the psychologist for an appointment made some weeks ago.
I went to the docter for some other problems, and she asked me how I was doing.. Well, truth is I wasn't doing great so I told her.
I mean, both my grandpa's, one grandma have died in the last years.. My parents got divorced, we didn't go on vacation, relationship with me and a girl was cut of magicly and that gave me a hard time. I lost a few friends, got low grades on school, and here I am now. Just about 1,5 years have past since it all began.
Anyway I hate the word 'depressed' because people use it when they are down because they're favorite popband has stopped, for example. Or when there is rain for a day when they'd prefer to have sunshine. It's just 'depressing' how much the word has been abused the last years. Because when I told people I actually was very depressed and on the edge of a cliff falling down if I didn't do something quickly; they would just say "Ah yeah I feel depressed too man". Like.. All of them. Because it's cool to be depressed, ya man!

Anyway I refused to go on meds, first I want to see how the psychologist goes.

Haven't been on vacation for like, 5-6 years now?
Last time was with my grandparents, can't remember when I was last with my parents, when I was 7 maybe? There's no time for stuff like that...

I'm not really bothered by the fact of not going anywhere, now, I'll probably start going camping with some friends or stuff like that.

Edit:
Oh, wait, there was this few week trip to the mountains two years ago, with my ex and her falks to the house they have there, that was a cool time - ah, the memmories...

Edit2:
Anyway,

I just overheard my parents talking about getting rid of me. How many people get a chance to say that? Joy.

Yes, maybe it is, but it's his decision to make, his parrents should support him, not think about how to throw him out. I sincerely hope, they meant it in a way "let's find a way to help him, so that he can start living on his own" instead of "he's a burden, let's kick him out".

That's your take on it. Others might not agree. There is no real right or wrong.
You don't know the whole story, you don't even know a significant part of the story. Right now it's just hearsay.

Too bad for them. I could only pity the ones thinking that for how empty they are.

And right or wrong is beside the point here. This is a case of duty, and a parents duty is to take care of their children in good and especially bad times.
They took that responsibility on them the day they decided to have children.

Now for something different.

I wonder, is there a fucking point in love? You find a perfect person, with an ideal charachter, beatifull and smart, witty, with interests in great things. And what do you do? You do as always when you find original, unique beauty, you love it. But why does no one ever care about that? Why does it have to be a retarded game, in wich someone who is an ampty shell of a person, who never knew love, who doesen't even really care, can get to the beauty? Why when you try and want someone the hardest, it is the hardest to get that person love you back? It stays a fucking game, in wich love has nothing to say, moreover it has to stay hidden, it's like an auction in wich you show a lot of qualities and nifty pick up lines. After a few years of that happening again and again I'm starting to loose faith that true, real and strong feelings and sincerity will ever get you any closer to the real beauty in people.

Fuck all that, let's just be freakin egoists.

are you ok now man?

Things have also been real shit for me the last two days.
First, on Friday, I had a real busy day, starting with finishing my coursework with a partner. Then I also had to conduct a focus group for 2 hours of which I had to take £80 out of the bank in five pound notes. Then the real disaster came. While I was leaving for home on the bus from university to catch the train, I fell asleep. When my stop came, I hurried out quickly and must have dropped my wallet on the bus.

Then I realized this 2 minutes later and ran to the bus station, hoping to catch it in time, which I did but I checked it and it wasn't there. Then I thought I might have dropped it on the road, and went to check it there but again I couldn't find it. So I went to the Police Station to get a report written up. Then I tried to get to the train station to get back home but the last train had gone. So now I had no money to go back to University. I thought I'd call a friend and ask for some money.

When I went to collect it, his asshole chav flatmates came out with small penny change (1 and 2 pennies) and tried to make up £1.30 with that. I was made out to look like a beggar by these people I have probably lent a lot of money to and they've never given me back, I really wanted to beat the crap outta them, and could have but thought it'd be better to restrict myself.

So I went back home and went to sleep. In the morning I went to the train station, but then I found out because of this huge train crash , all trains were delayed/cancelled, so it took me 7 hours to get home when it normally takes 3. A lot of shit events put together, but I got a call from the police saying my wallet has been handed in so its looking up i needed to vent all that somewhere!

I'm doing a little better now.

The whole country were snowed in last day, so I couldn't go to the city as planned.

I've been out all day from 9 AM to nearly 0.00 AM, where I came home with a taxi, as there were no busses, and it rained the most of the day, but I spend the half of the day at an indoor trade fair.

Before I left with the taxa were I getting a burger in a grill, and there were a weird man, who sat beside me, and he argued with the cook, who were scared of him.

I felt like I should run over to the nearby police station at the burger bar at any time.

I had a complete breakdown last night. I just could not stop crying, and it was actually quite scary. I had been upset to start with, then that got sorted out but the tears just kept flowing. I wasn't upset anymore, I just couldn't stop crying.
