hmm... that looks really odd.
Really? I thought I should not attach because of disk space?

Well, you're the admin, so you say we should attach images?

mm neah, I think that pink color was one of TakaM's favourites I REALLY doubt he'll let go of it anyway, nothing's wrong except the thing that the whole level looks 3D while the soil ( pink in Taka's, brown in CF's ) is very very 2D ... it lacks the light and shadow which gave the perspective view ... also, I know u wanted the close-up rocks and everything but it gives me the feeling that this is someone's view through a binocular, while spying on twinsen it's like u'r standing in the grass, watching the game "take place" through a digital camera with 16X zoom

I think the brown fits better, also the mountains look better in that edit of CFs, that pink has a very skin-like colour. The rocks in the forground look very cool.

it's not the pinkness... it's the levitating ground

also... the ground is rather flat'ish.. no depth

Well, that kind of stroke me too, there should be ground with a different colour behind those "holes" to indicate there are tunnels in it.

Unless it's a plot element.

"plot element" always reminds me of the first Discworld game

"A shape, a sinister shape. A shape... fraught with ... with ... shapeness. It must be a plot element, otherwise it would have a better label."

you never see it zoomed out like that in the game

edit-
oh, page 11
I think that brown looks absolutely awful sorry, it doesn't fit in at all with the colour palette or the style, I'm not even going to consider changing the colour.

and the floating platforms, while you will rarely see a whole platform floating in the game so it won't look odd in the game, it is just something that has to be done to help with level design, I've thought of ways to implement it into the story etc, but a friend who has spent years designing games told me to not feel responsible for explaining some of the fundamentals that almost all platformers have used.

it's not required, but it does make the world more consistent.

Relax, I didn't think you'd consider it, I was just expressing my opinion. Pink makes my eyes bleed

Yeah, kind of .

But you should change that pink...
I think it would look best with a colour the land has in the lower right corner of CFs pic.

That pink, really looks like flesh.

But well, I guess it ight look normal when you only see a portion of the screen.

how I see things : the pink is a nasty color BUT it's the best color that blends in with the whole anime style

I was just showing a friend how responsive the spin slash is, and it ended up looking like some sort of street fighter combo:
blanka perhaps?
