Hellboy - stupid.

Van Helsing - stupid.

Alien VS. Predator - umm, only if you really want to know who wins. it has some nice fighting, but other than that, quite a terrible movie.

Difference being Van Helsing knew it was stupid, HellBoy didnt.
And worse, it damage the reputation of a good comic.

Yeah, that's true. Van Helsing was meant to be entertaining, while hellboy was supposed to be serious and cool, failing misreably.

Adaptation.
Really good stuff. Well, I thought of giving it 4/5, but then I realized I actually have nothing against it, so 5/5 (!!!)

American History X
Wow, that was good too. I don't think I have anything against that aswell. 5/5

yeah hellboy such a stupid movie but is getting rave reviews all over the place - its one of the average-below average superhero movies ive seen but all critics seem to love it.

American History X - saw it on bbc 2 great movie.

Freaky Friday - Quite nice.

America X is very good, yes.

Surprisingly, it seems they're making Hellboy 2

Actualy,I dont remember any good reviews of HellBoy
Even those goons on channel 4 who normaly say everything is good said it was "interesting".

Not sure how well it did in the cinema, i know Van Heilsing did well dispite the critics (which, personaly, i thinks great, because i admit to loveing that film...in the same way i love Batman:The Movie, but still )

this is a good site which makes averages of many reviews and it seems tha hellboy is very popular.
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/hellboy/

i initially saw the one on ceefax and it gave it a rave review, but this movie is nothing beyond the average superhero fare, my favourite superhero movie has to be the punisher which starred dolph lundgern.

I hope I didn't forget any...

Ghost in the Shell - I had seen it before, but with the renewed edition released and having just finished watching the Stand Alone Complex series of GitS, I thought I might as well see it again. I found it pretty dull, yet I couldn't be bored since it was only 1.5 hours long. The fighting scenes are great.

Bruce Almighty - I happened to see it again with some friends. Well, I suppose it's a nice movie to watch in company. I dislike the message behind the movie ("wow say that good ol' God sure is a busy geezer don'cha thaink?") but the comedy was ok.

Endless Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Great movie, I enjoyed it a lot. Kate Winslet! Kirsten Dunst! In the same movie! Jim Carrey! In a serious role!! ok.

The movie has a pretty nice concept and the surreal scenes with memories mixing up with eachother were very nice. Also there's lot of emotion (if you can get into it), like the "please don't make me forget her, please let me keep this one memory" feeling. Of course the memory erasion itself was cheesy and unrealistic, but that's why it's a work of fiction. Go see it.

Fahrenheit 9/11 - Nice documentary although perhaps a little chaotic, trying to cover too many subjects in one film and goes to deep with some and too shallow with others.

Bowling for Colombine - Great, this film had the problem and possible reasons laid out well. Very interesting.

Nice, I also really liked Adaptation and American History X. The first time watching AHX just makes you like shut up for hours after watching it.

I saw the Village in Poland. Utter gobshite. Poor acting, even from Joaquim Phoenix (who is usually a decent actor.) Worst £2 I ever spent on a ticket....

Also, today saw Indiana Jones (the first one I think, where it starts with a party and some confusion over a diamond). I liked. T'was good.

yeah indiana jones and the temple of doom its a good movie, but how it potrays india is awful - people never have eaten snakes, eyeballs or chilled monkey brains in any age, most of the "hindi" that the actors speak is just gibberish, only amrish puri (the priest) speaks proper hindi. and also kali who is meant to be an evil god in the movie is one of the most unevil (no hindu gods are evil) and sacred goddesses. i think thered be a lot of complaints against this movie if it came out in the present age. Other than that this movie is hilarious especially if you can speak hindi and understand what the priest is saying against indi

Shaun of the Dead
The movie and Shaun had their charm, but overall it wasn't very funny.

Mallrats
Okayish, I suppose. Dogma is better.

Postman
I never seem to be able to stay awake during the entire 2 hours and 50 minutes.

Surf Nazis Must Die
Now that's cinema at its best!
No, actually it was a bad story, bad acting and bad camera angles.
But it was kind of funny since it was so bad.

Dogville - Lovely! The theatrical setting made me skeptical ("ooh look at this movie, it's so alternative and original kthx") but the movie had interesting characters and it had a few nice metaphors and interesting dialogues, as if reading quality literature. The movie itself is a little slow and long and I would have kinda disliked it if it wasn't for it's Tarantino-style ending. Although it may not look like it, nearly everything said in the movie has consequences or resemblences later on, which might make it good for a second time watching.

I first thought Dogville sucked and turned it off after 2 hours. Then I watched it again fully and man, why couldn't that last half hour come earlier?

[there were some more I've seen, I don't really remember though]

The Bourne Identity - Saw it again to prepare for The Bourne Supremacy, which I'd like to see now. I enjoyed it, even for the 2nd time.

Troy - Well, it has everything an epic-sized movie should have... it was quite nice.

Ghost in the Shell 2: INNOCENCE - Wow, this blew my mind... note that this is a 'sequel' to the first GitS movie and has no connection with the Stand Alone Complex series (which take place in an alternative universe, as you might know). Seeing 1 before 2 adds a lot to the movie (I watched the renewed version of GitS1 some time ago to refresh my memory).

Anyway. Some parts were vague, much philosophical stuff... but the animation and artwork are so majorly kickass. The story is also pretty interesting, just don't lose yourself in the vague parts but just keep watching. Be sure to turn up the volume, the music adds a lot to the atmosphere.

Very wise.
I saw TBI when it first came out, but then saw TBS when it first came out too.
I should have seen the TBI again to remind myself too
