The only movie I liked Rob Schneider in was 50 first Dates.

Twinsun

I saw Time For Drunken Horses, a movie from Iran, and I recorded it at a German TV station last night where they often show those kind of movies.
I think it should had won the prize for best foreing language feature under the Academy Awards.

Not really. He played Ula, Adam Sandler's Hawaiian friend with lots of kids.

EDIT: Oh! And if you've seen the preview he's the one Drew Berrymore beats with the baseball bat.

Napoleon Dynamite - some people who watched it were like "wtf there's not a single funny thing in this movie". I really liked it when I saw the trailer some time ago (StarmanDX thx), and with this jolly feeling I started watching the movie. Well, it amplified my jollyness . I really liked the dry, non-forced humour. I got to like the characters, and their developments. It's nice to see how Napoleon actually and stands above everybody else, yet everyone sees him as the loser. He hangs up the phone saying "kbye" and can get his groove on. Very cute, very enjoyable.

Saved! - I actually watched this movie because Jenny "Donnie's boyfriend" Malone is in this movie and the not-too-bad IMDb ranking (dropped from 7.7 to 7.2 in a week or so, though), the subject didn't particularly appeal to me. I enjoyed the movie though, it doesn't focus too hard on the main character's problem and it's not too dramatic, plus it has lots of comic relief. In the end the movie reminded me a lot of Mean Girls (the 'plastics', the alternative couple, etc) but yet it's also different. Not great, not bad either.

I have just watched both Farenheit 9/11 and DC 9/11 - Time of Crisis. I know a lot of people knocked F9/11 for being overly damning (which is partially true) but if youi cpompare it to Time of Crisis (the Republican take on events) then it somehow seems tame.

Time of Crisis turns 9/11 (or 11/9 - I'm British dammit) into a gung ho action movie where all the president's government seem to have wierd foresight into events (it begins with Don Rumsfeld saying "I don't know when, but I know they'll attack soon"). It also turns the president into a gun slinging, one line toting (yet caring) hero of the hour..."If some tinhorn terrorist wants me..." he drawls "tell the bastard I'll be at home...in the whitehouse!" Time of crisis carefully merges fictional footage with scant real TV footage of Bush's speeches creating the illusion that all the acting is based on factual evidence. Justification is called on from Freedom, America and even God for the war on Iraq. This is an intensly scary piece of propaganda that made me sick to my stomach. If you want to be angry about events on the world stage at the moment, this is the film to watch rather than Farenheit 9/11. It was a TV movie so you could probably pick up a copy, or get it from a passing donkey :-)

Farhenheit 9/11: Well, it's not THAT amazing.
Plus, it was rather subjective and unfair in the beginning.
Other than that it was a good documentary with interesting information, really makes you hate bush. Plus it may turn some of you against the war in Iraq, though i was against it to begin with.

I watch too many movies nowadays. The latest ones:

Being John Malkovich The only Charlie Kaufman movie I hadn't watched (except for Human Nature, which is supposed to suck) yet. It's nice and all, but I found it the weakest work by Kaufman. Eternal Sunshine, Confessions and Adaptation are all better movies. BJM is, in anyway, a quite good weird movie - but that's about it, it's good at being weird. The other movies are less weird, or just unusual, and greatly surpass BJM.

Brother By Takeshi Kitano. The second Kitano movie I watch (first one being Hana-Be). Very good, although the main character is pratically the same than Hana-Be's one (only with a different background story), which isn't too creative from Kitano's part. I couldn't see how the character would fit otherwise though... but well, that's his job, not mine. But a great movie overall, although Hana-Be was better. Hana-Be has a better ending and a more compelling/emotional story.

Akira Kurosawa's Dreams I have mixed feelings about this, but it's in general great. It brings (the surprise!) some dreams Kurosawa had. Some of the dreams get somewhat boring, although I can understand the purpose of the boredom - this movie is like a painting you stare at. It isn't that kind of boredom where you feel you have to do something else, it's the kind of boredom where you just daydream about things related to the movie, and have the risk of missing what's going on. I don't see how that fits in the snow dream, though - that was by far the worst one. But dreams like the Van Gogh one are just amazing, and make up for it.

the Girl Next Door - okay, I expected just a stupid teen comedy and I was partly right. The story was a little too weird and perhaps some deeper than most teen movies. And when main character was giving his speech near the end of the movie and everything is supposed to work out alright after that like the hollywood cliché, the movie wasn't over, but at least two more climaxes appeared later on. In the end the plot was pretty thin and list it's focus on the actual "girl next door", but it's quite enjoyable. Make me giggle a few times. The two friends of the main person are the best characters (one of them looks like a clone of Lennon, which is cool).

Being John Malkovich
Yeah, it had a few gags here and there, but in the end I didn't come out satisfied.

The Bourne Supremacy
Nearly exciting as The Bourne Identity, but at the "final battle" I started losing touch with the film. Maybe it was just me, but I started paying less attention.
Anyway, the first one was better, but the second is still a decent watch.

[B]Sinbad - Legend Of The Seven Seas

Not as successful as Shrek and Spirit, but the celebrity voice actors and the visual 2D effects are great.

Hero - Really awesome, and nice storytelling. Nice how the colors of each scene tells something about the context (nearly everything in this movie is as told by someone, either true or false, or a bit of both).
The 'floating wire' fighting scenes reminded me a lot of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, but I guess it's quite common in Chinese martial arts movies, yet I didn't see much others. The environments are very beautiful, makes me want to visit China.
The ending left me a bit in the open, but the nice plot twists make up for it. In the end it feels as if the movie is a little too loose connected to be really powerful, nothing is explored really deeply.
Great watch. Hot asian chix0rs with swords. Go see.
