I downloaded the whole mini series of THGTTG once, but I got bored with the lamely low-budget production after about 10 minutes. Good sci-fi (even if it's comedy) should not look low-budget. And I think they made it like that intentionally which is stupid imo.

Budget dosnt mean squat.
They went back and re-did a lot of the Red Dwalf special effects and it didnt improve the show one little bit.

If instead they saved that money, they might have enough to make the film today ~sigh~
SOMEONE GIVE THEM THE MONEY GOD DARNIT!

Besides, the ships in Red Dwalf looked far better then anything in star trek, dispite being made from washing up liquid bottles and vacum cleaners

Oh, besides, the radio series was the best HHGTTG
(allthough I quite liked the new film)

Doom
Wow, that sucked.
The plot was crappy (even more than what I expected), they called the BFG a "Big Fucking Gun"*, the ending came out of nowhere, it was all blah.
The only part that was somewhat cute was when they changed to first person view, and it was amusing while it lasted.

* From the original Doom FAQ:
[3-10-1]: What does BFG9000 stand for?
--------------------------------------
Being the most powerful weapon, the only thing BFG9000 could stand for would be "Big Fraggin' Gun."

Avalon
Quite a nice movie. Very different from the usual movies. I'm pretty sure there is some deeper meaning in it all (for that world) but I don't really get it. The ending is rather odd in some way.

BFG IS big fucking gun. Didn't you hear all the doom fans screaming in agony, when rumours were, that the doom movie would only call it "bio force gun"?

Bio Forge Gun isn't correct aswell, but who said it's Big Fucking Gun?
Is everybody retarded? The FAQ that is in the Doom installation directory, written by someone from iD Software, says it's Big Fraggin' Gun.

If its in the FAQ of the first published Doom game as "Big Fragging Gun", then I am pretty sure thats the "real" name.

Besides, isnt dooms bigger issue the fact its gone all Resident-Evil-ish?

Yeah, the original plot disappeared. I think the only thing left intact was the look of the Imp.

Howl's moving castle (Miyazaki)
japanese version indeed
GOOD one that was, but i still prefer Chihiro (psirited away) & Princess Mononoke
still, charming, beautiful, outstanding as usual with miyazaki's work

Yeah, but (and no offense to any Americans) Americans are usually so touchy when it comes to religion, and mixing it with video games, which they are even touchier about... well that just screams lawsuit.

Time Bandits
Funny movie. It's about Santa^WGod's little helpers that steal^Wborrow their boss's "bug report sheet" and abuse it to become bandits to steal stuff from various time periods. Well something like that, it's a movie by Terry Gilligam, the guy that also worked on Monty Python. It's not like Monty Python, so if you don't like that humor you can still perfectly watch this movie.

Great Expectations (1998) - Pretty good miniseries. It has a wonderful athmosphere and some fantastic actors. Too bad that the main characters isn't really that sympathic.

Equilibrium - I can't believe I missed this movie when it came out. I actually quite liked it. Sure, it's not quite a complicated scifi, but I'm a nut when it comes to scifi thrillers.

Equilibrium was nice, but rather stupid.
We laughed our asses off when we saw the amount of fight scenes stolen from The Matrix...
