This has probably been done before, but here goes anyway. I'm curious to know what everyone's favourite moment/scene/place in either of the LBA games is. I know what mine is anyway, but I want to see if anyone else's is the same before I reveal it.
I remember picking up a magazine a few years ago, and it featured the greatest games available on the PC. LBA was listed as one, and the cool thing was the note underneath it mentioned my favourite moment. It really made me realise, even more, how cool LBA really was.

Anyway, favourite moments anyone?

In LBA2 my greatest moment was on the intro and the ending movies,
in LBA1 it was... I don't know, maybe the holy carrot thing... no... I don't know...

LBA 1: Rebel attack and citadel (I found it really neat, esspecially because this was the first time that I started in a jail)

LBA 2: First time on Zeelich, Emerald moon part and second time you arrived on Zeelich (When they started to search for you, that was the moment I really was cought by the game)

Talking I know the one...

The best moment by far, is the bit where you can drive around Desert Island in the buggy, and on the race track. It is brilliant. And that was mentioned in PCZONE when they did the LBA2 review!!! I also liked the snowboarding bit in LBA1. It's kinda like a load of sub-games you get

What's cool about this is no one has mentioned my favourite bit yet (which isn't an especially cool bit or anything) but all the posts so far have been moments in LBA1 and 2 that would have come close to being my favourite.
Keep em coming!

Talking LBA

Lba 1: Well the strongest memory was when you got away with ARG! the first time. I really liked that pour (dock)

Lba 2: Like Atresica i think that when you came to Zeelich for the first time (much cooler with more planets then only Twinsun) and emerald moon. The first thing I did there was to answer wrong password and kill the guards...

LBA1 - when you finish the bloody Temple of bloody Bù!

But LBA2 just wasn't quite as good; there weren't as many memorable moments... (gonna get flamed for that )

Favorite moments

LBA1
- After the Temple of Bù (although I now get trough it pretty fast and easily)
- Library
- Rebel attack
- Break-in in the library
- The ending... woow...

LBA2
- When it gets sunny on Citadel Island again!
- The rest on Twinsun, I especially liked "The island across from the hacienda".
- Island of the Franco's
- The rescue of the queen of mosquibees

Of course there are more, but I don't remember them right now...

It's cool that there is no agreed 'best' moment - just proves what great games LBA 1 and 2 are.

LBA1: Well, when I first played the game through, I really liked this bit, but it wasn't until the second time that (nostalgia gets me every time) I realised how great it really was. The area on Desert Island, with the Old man and the flute, it's fantastic - God knows how long I spent running with that horse. It was just such a cool setting. Combined with the music, it really produced a magical moment, for me anyway. Like I said at the start of this post, a writer with some magazine (I might still have it, for all I know) said he used do the exact same thing. It kinda struck me then - two guys spending ages running round with a horse, even though it didn't further the game.

LBA2: The minute I got control of Twinsen, brought a lump to my throat - damn you, nostaglia!! Also, the buggy scene was cool, plus going out into a 3D Twinsun for the first time was really exciting.

LBA3: The weird thing about LBA3 is that I searched for it on altavista (actually put in 'Little Big Adventure 3') the day after it had been announced on adventuregamer.com, even though I had heard nothing about its release or anything. I just got this weird urge, in desperate hope. So finding out about it by complete surprise is already a good moment. Heh!

Favourie Moment

Yep, I think Ronan speaks for me as well...the bit on Desert island with that guy playing flute was just magical! (I'm almost embarassed to hear myself saying that, but there are no other words to describe it). In general, my memory's really vague on LBA1, but I can remember this bit wer'e you come in to land and...erm...meet these rebel..er..type guys., like I said my I can't remeber exact ppl and locations (I played it around 1994, when it first came out). I also remember this part, it might be funfrock's fortress, were you land on this snow/ice covered island with those wobbly guy's with helmets on firing at you - that was cool. Oh yeah, and I do remeber the Temple of Bu was very difficult, but there is a kind of cheat - if you set of a meca-penguin to run over that switch on the floor, it will allow you to run through without dragging that statue over (I can't believe I remeber that ). The good news, for me anyway, is that Phoenix mailed me the LBA1 CD, i've borrowd a laptop from someone ('cause LBA doesn't work on Win ME ) and I'm downloading DOS sound drivers right now - so I'm going to play on it this afternoon

To sum up...Although I can't remember stuff in great detail (LBA1), I do remember the whole thing being a wierd magical experience that I'll never forget (sounds so cliched, doesn't it). LBA2 was the same, but I think I've wrote too much already.

hihihihi Windows ME hihihihi

it sucks...

but anyway, Windows ME doesn't have Dos anymore, it now it's own OS, that's maybe why it has so many bugs

best moment..

That's a VERY hard question..

LBA1: after the temple of bu, on the Clear Water Lake, when I found my Dino-Fly for the first time!, the vilage of the secret carot, and more, and more..

LBA2: *THE INTRO MOVIE*, *THE END MOVIE*, talking to the old man on the Desert Island (White Leaf Desert.. near the enters to the temple of bu, Lba1), and more...

both games are AMAZING!
but for some reason, I love LBA1 a bit better..
maybe it's because LBA2 have too many 3D graphics.. I think it's destroys the ability to get the ambience..

I also liked LBA1 more, but I don't know why. Just because it was much harder I think, so it gives you more statisfaction once you've beated it.
