I really enjoyed playing it, it's a shame it's so short, especially when you know what to do.
I did like the twist in the end though. Also if you complete the game at 100% you get a sneak peak at the sequel, Gather Up. It seems to have potential but there are a few things to improve (like the weird jumping system).

I tried to get 100% but got stuck at 94.7%
Not sure what I was missing, except the learn stat that says I'm missing one level and one blue gem.

The learn stat goes up with the codex, I guess you're missing things there. Try interacting with everything (including enemies). In the Newgrounds page there's an address to a walkthrough telling you how to fill the codex.
About the gems, well, none are hidden so I guess you didn't visit all the locations.

I have all but the very last entry in the codex (56). But, weirdly, I have the medel for having a completed codex

Yes, I got the medal without that and also got 100% without that.
Are you sure you have topped all the stats?
There's the sleep stat that rises at each nightmare, and there's the love stat that rises every time you give gems to that guy in the garden (it also raises your number of hearts).

I just loaded my save to see what I have, you should have 10 stats at 5, 660 red gems, 5 blue gems, 10 postboxes (checkpoints), and 55 codex entries.

ah, bingo, I was missing the gems in the far top right.
Oddly that gave me my Learn level too. I had the rest already.

That demos pretty good indeed.

American McGee Presents: Scrapland
Reviewed By Darkflame (Type - videogame, CreatedBy - American McGee Mercury Steam Entertainment)

A good way to some up this game is to say it doesn't reach its potential.
It has a wonderfull overall concept...falling somewhere between an Action-Adventure and '"GTARobot".

The game takes place in a mostly run-down robotic world, where organic lifeforms are feared and death is only a temporary inconvenience.
(seeing as all robots are backed up and restored from a major database).

Few people in the world seem to have any morals.
All the police offers either are after bribes or blackmail you. Priests are violent and only in it to sale extra lifes to you. And bankers are akin to Sith Lords.
And your no better despite being the "hero" you can steal both robotic bodys and cars, gaining the ability's of the body's and saleing the cars for scraps. (to help build your own vehicles using plans found elsewhere).
You casually accept orders to kill or steal (for "crazy bets!"), and don't seem to have much problem with any of it.
It breaks the world building quite a bit and makes you not care for any of the charterers.

Gameplay wise it comes across as a inferior form of Beyond Good and Evil. Much of the same things are possible, and even some of the progression is the same....but nothings as slick or quite as fun. Its too repetitive to be truly great, and neither the story or characters are enough to look beyond that.
(even if some of the humour is ok).

Overall, it is worth playing for those looking for another action-adventure.
But dont expect it on the same level as BG&E/Zelda/Okami or LittleBigAdventure.

Scrapland (not calling it "McGee presents" because that's stupid) is a great game. It's really under-appreciated.

It is stupid, but its the official title, and when entering games into my system I like to stick the official titles as the primary names. (and any variations as secondary).

As for the game, it is under-appreciated, but then, so are most Action-Adventures.
I think Scrapland really just needed an extra year of polish and it would be up there with the other 4.

Dunno, while vastly shorter I think I enjoyed BG&E more then Okami.
Okami stretched a little at the end.
Zelda isnt easy to genericaly place either as it depends "which zelda" :P

Still, safe to say they are all great games.
We need more action adventures!

I'm playing my christmas presents.

Professor Layton and Pandora's Box - just as fabulous as the first one.
Zelda Spirit Tracks - looking amazing so far, but Professor Layton is currently much more interesting to me, so I haven't had much time for this game yet.
Machinarium - nice, but I'm already stuck on the third screen.
Space Invaders Extreme 2 - If you're just playing this with the D-Pad, it's a pretty okay-ish game, but I got the japanese-only paddle controller that fits into the GBA slot of the DS, and it makes the game play like a charm. Pretty expensive for just this one game, but a very nice thing overall.

Basically its a fairly simple 2D physics game.
You can draw objects, pin them to stuff, and the goal is to use them to move a ball from the start to a goal.
If you watch the video on their homepage it demos it quite well.
