MBN is going to move within a week

The MBN will move to it's real home: http://www.magicball.net
And the forum will be put at: http://forum.magicball.net
The reason for this is simple, I don't own the el-muerte.student.utwente.nl domain and in the "near" future I will move away from the university campus. So I have to move the MBN to a local that is under my control a long time before I lose control so that the internet can catch up.
The process of moving will probably take a couple of hours, during that time the MBN will be unavailable.

All links to the current MBN location will be redirected to the new location as long as possible.

Update! (2006-11-28 15:53) The move has been performed.
A couple of things still have to be fixed:

• Restore the quotedb functionality
• Fix character encoding of certain database tables (most importantly the game quotes)
• Update forum posts to write the old url to the new one

local links will be fixed as much as possible, it's just that external sites also link to this location and they need to be adjusted.

On uniweb.no it costs about 8$ a month for 200mb space, and 15$ a year for a .com adress. guess there's more cheap places on the net to put the site.

phpBB2 is nowhere near as good as this vB(3? or whatever). It's totally messy, and just not as easy on the eyes.

Not that it matters, I doubt the forum software is open to subject for change.

vBulletin has a plugin system, and it's integrated with Drupal so it's a part of the MBN site. I don't see a reason to downgrade to a free software now that El has a license to use the current version of vBulletin forever.
