No it's not unlikely at all! That's why it's a good prank.
It would be pretty exciting if they started selling it, I don't know why they don't really.

Demand VS Effort really.
Either Demands not high enough, of the Effort is too much.

Or they arnt even aware of it yet.

I thought it got a good number of votes when we all suggested it as a game... Maybe not?

Are System Shock and Planescape on the GOG yet? Because if they're not, a game like LBA won't be for sure.

No, they aren't there (Yet).

But what's the connexion between Planetscape and LBA?

I think we got 400+ votes, when the most popular games have 5000+ votes. It's a pretty low number but it's something, at least people remembered it. I think there's a chance to see it published. But not in the near future, just when they are done with the popular ones. Let's say in five years.

Well, I don't mean closing MBN but for all the LBA spirit* we have lately, it should be renamed to something else until LBA3 is really here.

I dont like you anymore El'Muerte.
You fooled me big time :P albit a tad late.
There was however one flaw in your brilliant plan, the date :P
Here anyway, you posted the news prior to the 1st of april - aprox. 7½ hours before to be excact - making this joke...invalid!

So not only did it fail on the date it also failed because it broke the poor hearts of millions of LBA players worldwide.

Sad

No, an april fools joke needs a setup, which is done before April 1st, and a punch, which is delivered on April 1st.
Also, at the time of posting it was April 1st in some countries

Didn't Gustav (or someone) have a mirror site set up that had a bunch of the old sites archived?

Yes, and if Good Old Games did decide to sale LBA, they would probably use LBAWin,

Yeah LBA isn't so much of a problem getting it to work, although finding a copy (legally) is virtually impossible, so the distribution from GoG would be quite helpful in getting LBA known a bit more. But for technical purposes, it would be much more useful if they were to make LBA2 work easily on XP/Vista.

Aw man this post had me totally fooled. I was on Youtube listening to LBA tracks at the same time and even went to reply to some guy who had been asking to buy the original LBA for $50 (probably a scam though, I'm sure you can get it cheaper). Luckily Youtube didn't seem to accept my replies anyway, possibly due to not allowing URLS. Phew!

Its not April 1st anymore, so you can't blame me!

I would totally buy this if it happened though. Just for the convenience. And I would tell others about it.
