Can we add an option to change Twinsen’s gender? I’d like a Twinsen that can represent women. Also, could we have another option to change Twinsen’s race so that he’s a Grobo/Rabbibunny/Quetch/Sphero mix? I think that the idea that the Chosen One is of a specific race reinforces ethnocentric values of white colonialism. I call this white ethnosupremization. I wrote a paper about it for the Harvard Review and on Twitter, which got 1 million likes and shares. Please conform or die.

The very concept of a Chosen One itself good against the spirit of the Declaration of Human Rights ! Twinsen is more equal than others, just like the animals in Orwell's book !
Sad times to live in, when children in the 90s are presented dictatorial values in a positive light... Ah, what has the world come to in the 90s !

But no one ever said that in the 90s. The reason why my parody works is because that is in fact what people are saying today. And what you’ve described is much closer to also what people are likely to say today.

I figured that would be so ridiculous, it would leave no doubts that it's a parody.
Usually people say everything was better before though. That and they stuff is getting worse all the time. Eh, whatever ![]()

I think at the end of LBA3, Twinsen will be revealed as Keanu Reeves saying he's actually Neo Wick.

- Lightwing: You may want to read the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible. The idea of a chosen one (or nation) is a Jewish invention, not white. It is the Jews of Abraham that YHWH chose as His chosen nation and Jesus (Yehoshuah) was also Jewish.
Though the Arabs liked it as well, claiming that it is the Muslims that, through Isma'il son of Ibrahim, were chosen by Allah and of course, Muhammad (the Prophet, PBUH) was an Arab. According to the sacred scriptures of Shinto, it is the Japanese who are the chosen nation, their Emperors being descendants of the sun goddess Amaterasu. And of course, according to Chinese beliefs, it is the Chinese who are the chosen nation, their leader having the Mandate of Heaven. The Ancient Egyptians believed they were the chosen nation and their pharaohs the descendants and successors of the sun god Ra. Of course, the ancient (Gök)Turks believed they were the chose nation by god Tengri. You will find that every population on Earth has at one time or another believed in such a thing about themselves. As I was considering the best parts for a demo, I remembered the sheer variety and imagination of the two games (I was particularly thinking of 2), and it made me depressed as to how dull gaming often is now. At least, I can't think of many games that keep giving as LBA2 does, location after location. After not playing games for years I'm re-engaging with the new Zelda, which apparently supposed to be amazing but is slightly boring me (apart from the fantastic music & fascinating physics engine.)

While I had a hard time keeping a stern face while reading Lightwing's and Polaris' parody during a meeting, I'd say that as a parent it definitely wouldn't hurt to tell children that how LBA works (with only men in power, having a chosen one, and hardly any mixing of races) isn't how we want our world to be (even though many other aspects are nice). And all of these are real problems now, for example misogynist Andrew Tate's views are shared by many men; as Battler mentioned many nations viewed themselves as the chosen nation and then attacked other nations or in India some castes are "chosen" to be above other castes; and in (South) East Asia almost no woman would consider an interracial marriage with a black man, which surely is to some extent inborn, but I believe also largely influenced by upbringing.
@CS2x: Yes, LBA2 was very good in terms of imagination! Maybe you find Zelda boring because it's a kids' game? Everything's a bit more boring for us adults as we've already seen so much, but I was quite happy with the imaginativeness of most of the games I've recently played. |

What do you mean by "inborn" in this context ?
The majority of Nintendo's games are good, with some being excellent. Haven't played that much Tears of the Kingdom yet, but I played Breath of the Wild. While I couldn't say that it's ground-breaking or revolutionary, its strength, like with many Nintendo games, lies in its coherence. BotW felt whole, with no elements misplaced, all serving the purpose of one thing, non-linear exploration. It's quite impressive to make a world this big, and make moving through it not boring, or redundant. It's simply very well put together.

With "inborn" I mean that I'd assume that what the body has hard-wired as finding attractive being somewhat related to what our stone age ancestors would find while roaming around their area.

Perhaps. But Twinson's gender is set in stone
![]() TF... why does the "chosen one" always have to fix the world's problems. Can't other get of their lazy asses and do something for a change. |

I was upset in LBA2 when Zoe and a Wizard said Twinsen has to save everyone by himself and that not a single person fought against the Zeelich invasion. In LBA1 there’s a whole island fighting with you.
Bloodhound: LBA1 is ruled by an evil dictator, there is no opportunity for any noble rulers. In LBA2, no one is in charge of Twinsun. On Zeelich, a noble Queen literally rules over 1/4 of the population. The only other rulers are Johny, a gangster; Emperor, an authoritarian maniac; FunFrock, an evil child kidnapper and attempted genocider. There are no mixed Grobo/Rabbibunny/Quetch/Sphero races because they’re not races. Species can’t reproduce with each other. One of the many issues with Progressivism is that nothing is ever enough. Yep, but bloodhound mentioned mixed races. There are no mixed “race” kids in LBA because they’re different species and can’t reproduce. There are both black and white quetches.

all of these are real problems now? there's more race-mixing now than in any previous point in all of human history, same for the number of women in power. i think your mind has been completely warped by the internet. why do you even want a new lba game? lba1 and 2 have dictators, does that mean we want dictators in the real world as well? does every piece of fiction have to be some sort of prescriptive work for how the world should be? who looks at a kid's game and thinks to himself "hmm, not enough race-mixing"? are you truly incapable of unplugging yourself from american identity politics and twitter discourse and just enjoy a goddamn piece of fiction for what it is? maybe lba3 should have andrew tate as the main antagonist to make sure we get the point across. good god, people like you depress me. |

What about the Grobo father - Rabbibunny mother - Sphero child family in the Temple of Bù in LBA2 ? Adoption ?

Adoption is plausible, or the adults are friends of the child's parents and the parents for some reason can't join. Maybe they're deeply religious and boycott the temple-turned-theme-park
![]() @Reek: I'm not as angry and incapable of enjoying a work of fiction as it probably seems like, but that's hard to bring across through text. |

Granted, but if he is the son of the Grobo and the Rabbibunny, that means different species are able to reproduce.

If a Grobo and a Rabbibunny conceive a Sphero, that would mean that species are randomly reproduced, which doesn’t make sense even for this fantasy world. It would also still mean that there are no mixed species, which is the point I was arguing, since this would receive criticism from Progs.
