thinking about doing a speedrun...

im thinking about doing a speerun of lba1 or 2 and putting it on youtube if its good but i was wondering what i should use to record the video's??

If you're running the game in DOSBox, use the built-in video recorder. Another option is FRAPS, but it killed the framerate on my computer . That's just about all I know (about the question, otherwise I'd probably be braindead!)

nah i dont use dosbox it's too slooooooooooow
and as for fraps you can only record 30 secs of movie without buying it

Did you try the new version (0.72)? DOSBox isn't as slow as it used to be.

Apparently it's not slow anymore, I think.
Cannibal already did a speedrun and put it on youtube, but good luck beating his time!
It's pretty impressive.

Maybe you should change something in dosbox.conf
Or maybe you have too little ram or something... anyway, it's not slow here (and 0.63 was slow).

the thing with using it on dos box is that when u press enter to change the screen view it lags nd would add quite a bit of time to he run

For me, at least, that only happens when I hold down the enter button. Then some of the actors go into frame-by-frame mode!

and another problem for me is tha i dont get how to make the shortcut in the guide ca any1 help me here?
ok got the dosbox shortcut to lba2 to work but i deleted ma lba2 windows thing:S

1. Right-Click on the desktop
2. Select Create Shortcut
3. Set the directory of DOSBox with " on either side (usually "C:\Program Files\DOSBox-0.70\DOSBox.exe")
4. Type DIRECTLY AFTER THAT IN THE DIRECTORY BOX -c "mount d E:\ -t cdrom -label ADELINE -ioctl -usecd 0" -c "mount c C:\lba" -c "C:" -c "cd\lba1" -c "lba" -c "exit" -fullscreen

Voila! If it doesn't work get rid of the "exit" bit. It solved it for mine, at least!

it's not hard to set up its just well.......slow for a speedrun
