2) When you open the bug report in mantis, you have in the down part of the page a "Add Note" space, where you could use it. Btw, why don't you use your account there?!

Because the registration had those weird problems, and since it was possible again for guests to report, I didn't want to mess around with it too much. Let me see...

It had that problem because you didn't receive the activation code, anyway I reset there your password, and you can enter and set a new one.

Because you login as guest. Just sign off for guest and sign in with your username. I don't remember if you set a password when I resolve the problem for you.

0.9. It is always the highest one available in the "product version" box. If a version isn't there, then it means it hasn't been released yet.

2) Your solution seems to work. But I do not understand how to add a comment in the bugtracker
I should have changed the status to "feedback", not "resolved", because "resolved" status prevents other users from posting comments. Anyway, I will do it if you want to post something else .

- Zink: Is it possible for you to add a feature to import LBA 2 Brick Layout Libraries to LBA 1 (and possibly vice-versa as well)?

Do you mean open an LBA 2 bll (*.bl2), and save it as *.bl1 with the brick conversion?

I reported a bug in the Factory program, though everything worked fine again after I restarted it.

So the bug isn't reproductive?

The problem is according to this site that Zink's code doesn't reset the file before closing it.

I tried reproducing it, but it didn't occur again. It's not like I did any edits to the library, I left it as is.

Someone is wrong on that site posted by LBAWinOwns about closing the file. Though the solution is okay in general, they are wrong in unwritten assumption that Close() should be always called if AssignFile() has been called (i.e. that AssignFile() opens a file and Close() closes it). This is wrong because AssignFile doesn't really open a file, but only assigns the given path to the given file indentifier, and calling Close() on a file that ins't opened, but only assigned will of course cause an error.

But the above has nothing to do with the bug .
I checked that and the files are opened and closed properly in my program, so I think it was just a glitch, because maybe there was an invisible error, and the file hasn't been properly closed, thus trying to open it again caused an error message. It never occured for me, so It might even be a glitch in your system, Kobold .

Why don't you use streams ? I actually have no idea which one is best.

And they didn't say you must Close() every file you AssignFile(), they said you must Reset()/Rewrite() before Close().

Yea, it's probably something not related with your code, since it's not reproduce able.

I find streams working a bit slower (sometimes much slower) than regular file reading, for example: it is a lot faster to load the whole file once into a String and read it from there, than to read it from a stream.

Yes, they didn't, but they also didn't say why you must Reset() before Close(), and didn't propose the simplest solution: removing the Close() .

It seems that it works okay. You mean the address moonbase.kazekr.net, right? If it didn't work it might be a passing server problem.

New version, folks

### Changes in version 0.10:

- New: Builder and Factory now have completely new HQR entries description system. This system is based on HQR Description (HQD) files, which contain descriptions for entries. Descriptions can now be made by users and assigned to non-standard HQR files. See HQD Specification in the docs directory for details.

- New: In this version third program is added to the LBArchitect. This new program, called Designer, is able to create HQR files containing complete room and scene information for the game. The HQR files can be made of single entries as well as from HQS files, thus eliminating the need for arduous editing existing HQR files from the game. Program has some advanced optimization features that allow automatic creating of repeated entries and compressing entries that meet specified criteria. At the current stage the program can only create HQR files for LBA 1.

Builder:
- Fixed: an important bug, that caused saving grids with errors under some circumstances.
- SceneMode: Snapping to Grid feature. If enabled in settings, this feature will snap moved Scene elements to Grid intersections (actually, in X and Z axes they will be snapped as if the Grid was twice as dense, with steps by 256 scene units). Snapping does not work for creating new elements. You can move an element after creation to snap it to the Grid.
- Fixed: Empty spaces of newly created Grids were filled with invisible bricks after saving and re-loading. It was a problem with creating new Grids, so you will have to remove the invisible Bricks from your new Grids manually (simple opening and re-saving will not work).
- Changed: Settings are now under Edit menu istead of View menu.

Factory:
- Fixed: Factory could not be able to open if the last library HQR contained less entries than before.
- New: You can now open another HQR entry without re-opening the file (File -> Choose another HQR entry).

- Some minor bugs fixed in both Builder and Factory.
