Well... "magic" is a name...
I find the whole trend of making out names for "magic" silly, seriously, if you're not going to devise a different language, then what's the point in giving it a different name? Heh, in my language it's Magia(or Czary[cz is red like ch]) - you could use that if you're really set on giving it a name . Or keep them from talking normally, and create a graphical symbol for magic.

in my language is Magie btw : I imagine the Sendell magic being blue and in my language blue=albastru so how about calling it Albastria or Alastria or Alastia or Albest Magic or Alast Magic

I wanted something similar to "proto pack", so we just ended up calling it the "power pack" atleast for this demo

thanks for your suggestions tho!

oh and in New Zealand's native language, I think magic is called "mana"... so many cultures use that word

P.S. In Ukranian, the word for magic is magi-ya, which I believe is the same as in Russian. Among the !Kung of the Kalahari Desert, it's called "num".

well, unless some huge bug appears, very soon.

*MAYBE* within the next few days, but if we can't get it ready within that time, Cocopuffs is then gone for about 1 week, if we don't have it finished before he leaves, I'll make a couple more levels in the time he's gone, and when he gets back we'll probably take a few days finishing whatever we couldn't get finished before he left, and adding in the new levels.

so, best case scenario, 2-3 days.

Ok guys, facing a bit of a dilemma..:
we've got everything pretty much done except for a few bug fixes, but what we haven't got done is customizable keys.
I know shift, z, x, and c is a bad setup for some of you with foreign keyboards, and that you do need to change the keys.
but Cocopuffs says it's highly unlikely he'll have it implemented before he leaves...
He's only gone for a week, and he'll be able to finish it when he gets back.

so, would you guys prefer to wait an extra week for custom keys?

I don't have that problem, I say just realese it now, I don't think it will be a common problem.
Or switch it to keys that are the same on all keyboards, either numbers like 1,2,3,4, or some other configuration - until you can implement the customisation.

I use a standard English QWERTY keyboard, so the zxc keys aren't a problem for me, although, as Jasiek pointed out, it might be nice to change it to some universal keys if there is time to do so before your developer leaves.

ok guys, pretty much everyone else I asked agreed we should delay the demo an extra week or so, and to be honest, we kinda need that week now

there are still some bugs that need fixing, the corners I cut for the new cutscene are obvious, so Im gonna do a bit of an overhaul, and I need to make a fifth level.
so yeah, it's delayed an extra week or so, but the time is going to be well used
