Another one trying to make an LBA sequel...

Hi I'm making a sequel of LBa by myself, using Borlnad Delphi and an opensource 3d game engine, the GLscene. I sent some screenshots of the game and the editor I made as an unregistred user, but nothing as happened, this is a bit strange, maybe there are too much people saying they are making a sequel.
Anyway, I started making a map-terrain-actors editor, then the game, creating an AI editor like the one in WorldEdit from warcraft. Now I'm at a good point but.. it takes too much time designing all the objects, anyway I'm finishing the Citadel Island, maybe i'll send some shots. The graphic is similar to the outside of LBA2 (a little bit better, i hope;-) and even the inddor places are in 3d. Well I've said enough.. Let's see what these lba fans will think about it..

Good luck I'd say

Yes, we've had a lot of people saying they would make something new but never even got close to something

hmz...
If your going to use Night/Day in the game, you might want to check out these movies:

http://www.magicball.net/redir2/-179...ame-Orbit.avi?

and

http://www.magicball.net/redir2/-179..._and_Rise.avi?

The problem with twinsuns orbit is there really cant be "night" as such.
But there can, however, be a brief dark period every time the sun drops low enough.
(bah, the movies explain it).

work in progress

Ok, here's another image. I'm working on the editro, a good part of the work is done, but there are so many things to do... Things like making the 3d objects, looking for textures, etc are so time-consuming. I think I'll refine some tools I made so if where will be someone who wants to contribute will be able to do that. maybe next time i'll write what i've done 'til now.. ok i'm a bit tired see ya

Hi just a quick post today -I'm fully re-designing the edior, from a monolitic program into a more flexible thing. It's so late... well next time I think i'll post some tools for everyone who wants to make some objects for the game -what do you think? this can speed up the making of the game, maybe would give me more time to concentrate on the programming side of the question... Bye ;-)

Just make it take standard formats like DXF or 3DS.
Theres lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of modelers here
And those 2 formats are the standards.

I don't know what that image of "Twinsen" in the desert was, but IT IS NOT FROM MY PROJECT . Looks just like a (not so good) rendering.

Don't worry, no one is touching your project, and i agree that this twinsen was really stupid . These are some pics i made with my project, some early stuff. Nothing connected to LBA(anymore), the only project that can actually compete(or help, depends on what YOU chose) you, is the LBRA.

Have luck with your project, if you need some help, i am here. I can give you any type of help i can:
