Crossover With Prequel

Good to see we've got some people on both the Prequel and TGR team here, it should make for more interplay between the projects and cooperation for better games overall!

- alexfont: Don't worry, it doesn't interfere in neither project.

I think it's actually very good, since those people get more experience, and they also use that experience in more places.

Yes, I concur, I think that there should be a precedent set now that both projects, while they share members, will no interfere or conflict with each other.

I know right now I'm 100% dedicated to the Prequel story, which is why I asked Obras to get another lead storywriter for TGR until I complete the Prequel's.

So, you think the stories of both games should be "linked"?
In that case i think i should know more about the LBA Prequel's storyline before starting something here.

Not linked - I just mean that if there were little references to the story of one of the games in the other games, then it wouldn't be bad. Small dialogue quirks or something that will be kind of easter-egg ish, but no major plot or story elements should crossover. It would be easier to do this once the Prequel is near finished, since then it could be reflected in the TGR.

But for the record, no, I don't want the stories to be related. Maybe my comrades in the Prequel feel differently, but I think they should be independent. The only relationship is the crossover of team members.

How could there even be a crossover of the storylines? LBAPrequel is way in the past...

- Double-J: I agree with you. Just some small, easter-eggish things, not big story links.

It wouldn't be a "true" crossover anyways for the obvious reasons you've mentioned...its simply because many members are parts of both teams.

About the easter eggs, please DON'T POST ANY discuss of easter eggs in public forums even if some could be used in both games. If something was firstly to be done in one of the project the other one should be as secret as possible and the other project members shouldn't know about it.

I don't want this kind of things been shared for people outside the team, this will loose the interest about the game when we'll be in the playing beta stage.

Hope you understand.

I also don't think we should crossover the stories and it may be kind difficult indeed. Anyway, when it was to be release, TGR could mention something that "pass in the past" but not a direct connection.

- alexfont: OK, now that you pointed it out, I'll try to make sure that no discussion about easter eggs is posted in this sub-forum.
