While I think it's good you informed him about it, would have been better if you actually had SOMETHING substantial to show to him in terms of progress.

Obrasilo apparently split this thread from the sticky thread about Fred - because the "substantial progress" discussion is something we should get more into.

What's there to discuss?
This project's got nothing aside for a few concepts and a screenshot. I wouldn't have approached him unless there was a playable demo. Otherwise all you did was go up to a guy and said, "Hay, I've got this great idea on a piece of paper!" and he said, "Okay. Cool." |

It's the lack thereof that is to discuss, as you already noticed.

- Lightwing: Check the threads in the Team sub-forum, please. We have some storyline at least partially decided, plus several grids already done, and not to even mention two tunes already composed (one started as an experiment by me, the other one was composed by Ricochet), and one almost composed.
Also, I doubt the LBA Prequel had more done, when they contacted Frédérick Raynal. ![]()

maybe this project - and ohers - will get some results if there's a moth to month planning...
without a planning; no line to follow, no goals to reach, no progress...no deadline.

Also, they say, "shared responsibility is no responsibility". It maybe don't apply as well as what Neko said to this situation. But what do I know about your projects progressing.

I think a proper planning with a small dedicated team, and defined goals, we will get 200% more output, without calling anyone lazy. With more positive attention and a good plan there will be an uplifting vibe that is strong enough to carry this.
The prequel does it with a newsletter, which needs to be filled with good stuff. but it still should not do without planning, and we got a bit of that now. I am still looking for more refined plans, here and there. maybe we should start a thread with 'planning - how available are you this two months? and base a planning on the availability of the teammembers. even if you do not make it, you will get substantial progress and a vision of where you're headed.

I know, I just can't tell which part of the sentence is sarcastic.
Anyway, to get back on-topic, it probably would have been better to contact Fred if there was a something like a playable demo. |

- Lightwing: There won't be any playable demo, if our story-writers don't start working on the storyline first (and yes, Kobold and Kieran11 are already working on it).

I thought like half the plot had already been written out.
