Great that it's not only me who think this way But moving forward with spamming this thread: http://coffemonsters.blogspot.co.uk/...ring-post.html

I would be really glad if you guys gave me feedback with controls schemes :] This would save me a lot of time searching alone for references.

I would really appreciate all feedback.
360 controller for sure. I'm not a console fanboy (only nintendo <3) but I would love to play the remake using a 360 controller... aiming the magicball and general movement should be much easier and intuitive with it. Of course, add Keyboard+mouse as well since that's what most people use and its the easiest input device to have access to.

Hmmm... Tales of Zestiria has a very fluid character movement and you can play it with a controler or keyboard+mouse, so it should give you a good general idea... Just be careful with camera angles, please! (if you want to test the game, I can share my steam library with you and you so y ou can have access to it)

Umm... For keyboard only I was thinking about Rayman 1 2 3, Cave Story or even LBA, for keyboard+mouse, Jedi Academy. I liked having nearly every button on my keyboard bound to something

4/6 which you listed are 2D-platformer which won't work as good reference for game like LBA :/ But I will for sure check Jedi Academy.

Rayman 2 and 3 are 3D platformers. Jedi Aademy has a classic asdw+mouse control scheme, but you have a lot of force powers and emotes. I liked being able to put almost all of what I was using on keys.

Ah I forgot about the 3D ones :P (I thought about this newer one : origin ). I will check them too.

You know this may look like standard but there is a lot of small details which make control intuitive or not. I want to focus on them to figure out how to do it in remake.

Because of the game perspective I would say you should look at the Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

I'd say that pressing Up to go forward instead of up on the screen is pretty 1994. A modern game would have controls relative to the screen coordinates and no awkward turning.

And what you think about keyboard + mouse controls from: Beyond good & evil ? (I'm surprised that nobody mentioned it)

You need your own forum, sticky threads and different threads for different topics.
