Flying red clones problem!

Hi every one! LBA is the best! I just found my playstation version of it so have been playing that on my ps2, LBA 1 now, for the first time in years! Naturally I have forgotten how to do things properly.

I am on fortress island, just past that part with the big brown monsters, in the next scene where there is a shark and loads of water, and I can't get past those damn flying red clones! they keep coming back even though i did destroy the teleportation centre...can any one tell me how to get past them?
on the green platform if i did get past them i can not see a "ledge" low enough for the jet pack to land on anyway...am I totally in the wrong place? But I can't see how as my arrow on the hmap is right on the runic stone and the door out of the fortress is closed.

Thanks for any help it would be much appreciated!

You need to be facing them backwards, and as they shoot you you fall backwards towards em, get your sword out and slash.

Yay thanks! I just completed it - last time I did that, I must have been about 8 years old...

Makes me wish for an LBA3 so bad.

Can I just ask one thing, if funfrock is in LBA2 how the hell is that the case? Is he alive and will he be in LBA2? Because I'm pretty damn sure he exploded when I smacked him with my sabre..

The two Funfrocks you kill in LBA are clones, that's all!

You only kill one clone in LBA1
Another in LBA2, the question is... was the last funfrock you killed in LBA2 also a clone

WTF! I'm going to tell my brother!

But in LBA 1, if you kill the clone of funfrock, then surely the real funfrock would just come and stop you going into the well of sendell...I don't get it...

Yeah. I think it was probably a clone, after Twinsen beating one of his clones before I doubt he'll risk it with his own life the 2nd time.

See, what the real question should be: where is FunFrock!?

Maybe all these plans: Twinsun, then Zeelich - Twinsen becoming the hero of both. Are all actally a big plan of FunFrock's

What? I've always killed 2 clones in LBA1, the first before breaking the seal in Sendell's Well, the second one in front of the door to the core of Twinsun...
Same thing in LBA2, 2 clones...

Don't you just knock Funfrock off the Well of Sendell? I only ever made him explode once.

And in LBA2 there are loads of clones of Funfrock... far more than 2.

Yes, everyone that has been pushed off a (high) cliff has the strenght to get back up and challenge someone with a sword (considering the height of the cliff and the "size" of the doctor it must have been a bad fall)... I mean, even Twinsen dies if he falls from a cliff, and he's much more athletic than Funfrock! I think it's more simple to consider them as 2 separate clones... But, that's just an opinion...
Loads of Funfrock clones in LBA2? I don't remember there were so many of them... It's been quite some time now, but I thought there were 2 of them... Maybe 3...

By the way, when you fight the FunFrock on top of the cliff, is it ever possible to kill him? Because there are stars indicating that he's hurt, but you can fight him for hours (well, all I ever tried was about 5 minutes, but whatever), and he never seems to die...

He's not suppose to die at the top of Sendell's well. It's a Hollywood effect, where he psuedo dies and attacks you at the last moment. If he exploded right away, you'd know something was fishy. Not that you didn't, anyway.

Whoa, I didn't know that.
Anyway, if the lba2 funfrock you killed was a clone as well, it'd be really lame.

argh! my bro's friend borrowed LBA 2 so I can't play it!

I was just thinking, after playing LBA 1 again, that LBA 2 is the better game. I mean, I always used to prefer the first one, but that was because of the novelty I think - that I had discovered LBA. The sequel did really well in that it did not (unlike very many other sequels to good games) take a step down from the first in the series. In LBA I felt a bit confined, both by the fact that there was only one world and also that the outside was not entirely 3d, something which I've become used to in games these days. The idea of Zeelich seems so random but they really pulled it off, the atmosphere and everything, especially the undergas and otringal which seems to me a credible alien environment. I was also thinking damn where the hell is my invincibility spell in LBA 1 when faced by those damn red flying grobo clones!
