Twinsen LBA image

GUYS !!! I saw this many many times but now I just have to ask : you always say you like LBA 1 because it's dark :| IS THAT THE REASON WHY YOU LIKE LBA ????????????? I mean geez !!! I always liked LBA because of LBA2 and because of its childish atmosphere ... when I say LBA , I think of my childhood . Especially ,the first things which come in my mind are : White Leaf Desert and The Undergas with those wonderful tunes ..... PLEASE tell me exactly why you like LBA .....

Perhaps four or five times more, perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless." --- Paul Bowles

for me it's a very poetical and interactive game, all the colours etc.

also, it is a very strategic and adventrous game since you always need to figure out stuff.

it's like meeting a new dimension with intriguing people and a new way to look at the world. a whole new culture...

What makes LBA more than 'just' a fantastic computer game is it's atmosphere. It is the only thing I have ever heard of that is "Orwellian Cute".

And in an indstry dominated by the USA and Japan it's always great to see definitive proof that Europe can churn out stuff that at least equals those two nations. Although LBA2 was a little amercianised.

Everyone having an american accent in the English version. Funfrock was american, Twinsen was american, even the franco's were americans doing a silly voice.

LBA1 had this overwhelming feeling of opression, you couldn't trust anyone but yourself. It felt bigger, in LBA2 they had this sort of thing of showing everything, reavealing everything, you weren't a small person just doing your part(like in LBA1) and trying to save your girfriend, but a walking god that knew all, and was always on top of things. In LBA1 Twinsen was a hero out of neccesity, he was an ordinary inhabitant of Twinsun, who probably wouldn't do anything, if the events didn't came crashing down on him.

I don't think so. In the scene on Principal Island when you first follow the two rabbis and get the help of the key maker and the rabbibunny seducer you really feel like they're all friends helping each other to live. Just like what happens when there's an opposition to autoritary regims.
